I've just stayed here for three nights and was very happy with my stay. The price for dinner, bed and breakfast was such that I knew I couldn't expect a five-star hotel or gourmet cuisine. What I got was a very comfortable, clean room and perfectly adequate food. The staff worked hard and were all most helpful and cheerful. Time... More

Apart from the perfect location i cannot think of anything else positive to say about The Green Dragon. As for negatives... Check in can be a frosty experience. The long trek up and down stairs and confusing corridors. The outdated rooms. Tv that does not work. Shower that works intermittently. Noisy. Terrible food in restaurant. And much more. We often... This hotel badly needs refurbishing as it feels very outdated. But the staff were very helpful at all times and the location is very central. Rooms are clean and, though the bed linen was fine,my bed itself was threadbare. The shower was very old fashioned but worked really well. It's a lovely old building. Needs some TLC / money!

stay away from this hotel you have been warned this has to be 1 of the noisiest hotels in my life which could really do with an update the oldie worlde effect does not really work and could do with a complete overall especially the staff training session I think is definitely called for in customer service

Managed to get a good deal for the hotel, just £35. The hotel is in a great location but in real need of refurbishment. I guess it was really nice around 30 years ago but now the floor boards are uneven and creaky, the restaurant deserted. Room was ok, pretty clean but the bath water was brown! Spoke to reception... Room was clean, but decor is dated and looks tired and miserable, Room was cold, bed wasn't the comfiest i've laid my head on. Paid £60 for one night which in my opinion is a little overpriced, if i was staying in the area again i would find a travel lodge or premier inn which would be cheaper and definitely... More

The second time I have stayed here in ten years, sadly nothing has changed in that time. The potential that this hotel has is huge but not reached. Perfectly situated in Hereford, walking distance ideal for the Cathedral, shops and restaurants. Parking however is an issue that needs addressing. We arrived to be told that if the Hotel car park... Do not know why some reviews are so bad. Yes the room decor is dated but my single room had everything I needed and sheets very clean and bed comfortable. Good large clean towels in bathroom. Light switches easily reached from bed and plenty of room for toiletries in bathroom - small touches which are often sadly lacking in hotels.... More

Visited with a group of friends for a weekend. This hotel has definitely gone past it's sell by date! Good location as right in the middle of the town. The service was fine but no more than that. The rooms are in need of a revamp but sheets are clean and fresh. We did have to ask to move room... More

This hotel is in an ideal location right in the city centre. The hotel itself is looking tired and dated. The original features are a lovely touch but the carpets are worn, there were random stains up the bedroom walls and the bath panel was little more than a piece of ply wood. The room was excruciatingly hot with no... More
