They certainly crammed them in over the weekend and then closed the family field toilet and shower block, hundreds of people sharing 4 toilets and showers. Facilities need a real overhaul. Great location but won't be returning.

The site is in a beautiful location however that's about the only thing it's got going for it, we stayed in a tent non electric on the family field, I wouldn't classify it as a field as its just a patch of flat grass inbetween two small roads. Toilets next to the so called field are out of order. Only... More

Well. I've camped a reasonable amount in my life (14500 feet up a mountain, and most of the wild places in the UK). So I feel I'm used to roughing it. So to part with £30 for a piece of grass without opting for an electric hook up either (although it was lovely flat grass) was a shock for what... More

Spent just one night in our caravan, visiting friends. To put it bluntly we will never return nor recommend this site. On arrival the young lady who "greeted" us showed the warmth and charisma of a damp rag. Quick to take our money and send us on our way, she failed to top up our electricity allowance for our pitch... More

Stayed for 2 nights, fri and sat. Fri night not many tents, sat a different story. Very crowded, not much space between. Both nights were fairly noisy, drifted off to sleep before all was quiet. No shop on site, but one of the pubs sells a few bits and pieces. Did not eat or drink at that one, did look... More

We stayed here as a group a couple of weekends ago. There is a 'group' field and a 'family field' which, when I read it on their website I thought was a good idea. The family field were supposed to be quiet by 10.30pm and the group field by 11.00pm. Everyone is expected to pay a £5 per head noise... More

Please don't stay here and waste your money, spent 2 nights here and didn't sleep because of the 3 chav families that set up camp near the toilet block, woke every 1 up at 130 in the morning playing music as loud as they could, even tho they had young children of there own, 1 pound for a shower, but... Spent 2 nights camping here with a 10 year old and a 12 year old. Read a lot of negative views about this site but went in with an open mind. First off, the facilities are very outdated. Very 1960s and wouldn't be out of place on "Carry on camping". However the facilities were kept reasonably clean and the showers... More

Canoeing down the Wye is a popular mini break, so this site has reliable custom and does not need to encourage repeat custom - most people only canoe the Wye once. As such, they've forgotten that they're a service. After much struggling against the current, we managed to land on a jetty with the sign 'no landing'; it was the... More

I think this site is now renamed 'Riverwye camping'. From the previous reviews, it must be the same site. The worst campsite showers I have ever used. Tiny, and wedged inside difficult steps. I'm not particularly large, or in any way disabled or frail but these were a nightmare to use. No locks on the doors, no shelves or hooks... More
