My wife and I spent a week in Holt Stable. We were met by the owner who was very helpful and cheerful in her Kiwi way. The cottage was immaculately clean and well presented. The lounge area was very comfortable and came with state of art TV, DVD etc. The kitchen was large, well equipped for all situations. The bedroom, accessed... More

I stayed in the Stable at Holt Farm over the Hay Festival week with my partner and it was wonderful. The building was old and beautiful but inside it was really nicely done out with all mod cons. There are full kitchen facilities and a big sitting room/dining room with a tv, stereo, dvd and video players plus dvds, board... More

We arrived at Holt Farm with our party of 17 and we were warmly welcomed, taking over the 3 larger houses for a fantastic and memorable week. The quality of the accomodation was excellent, all 3 houses having a great atmosphere, and the largest house being suitable for our large group to all have a sit down meal together. The weather... More

I would echo what previous guests have said. We stayed at the Stable, which is a one bedroom cottage. Past experience of cottages for two is that they tend to be cramped but the Stable was very roomy with a big sitting/dining room which had two big sofas to relax on. The kitchen was very well equipped, which again is... More

We have just enjoyed a short break in The Stable, the smallest property at Holt Farm. Having said "smallest" it is actually extremely spacious and kitted out with everything you might need, coffee, tea, cleaning materials etc. Frozen meals are available to purchase so you really have to take very little with you. Ruth and Gordon, the proprietors, have thought of... More

This is our second visit to Holt Farm. It is set in beautiful hills, with small towns and walks abounding. The main barn where we stay is very comfortable and lovely. They have thought of everything to make your stay relaxing from a very well kitted out kitchen to lots of wood for the wood burner. And the owners offer... More

The Barn has a well equipped kitchen and is decorated to a very high standard. The owners are very welcoming offering help if needed. There is WiFi and a land line phone which proved very useful as signal can be limited on mobiles. We came last year and had a great time. This year wad even better and we will... More

We normally go to the lakes every year for a break but decided to try something different this time and what a fantastic decision it was! Although we will still go to the lakes for sure, we will almost certainly be re-visiting Holt Farm again. It was a most wonderful stay and the service provided by Gordon and Ruth from... More

Location: The location is truly amazing, nestled on the Welsh border in Herefordshire, surrounded by beautiful rolling hills, farms and animals. The space: We (8 adults) rented the barn for a 5 day stay over Christmas. A beautifully restored Barn, with double height space with a huge table perfect for parties. Along with a large fully equipped kitchen and lounge... More

I stayed in Holt Barn for a weekend in October with some friends to celebrate my hen weekend. The quality of the finishings in the barn is of the highest quality you could ask for and no detail is overlooked. The property is quite a long way from the nearest town - 6 miles doesn't sound far but it is... More
