My husband and I recently visited Winchester and were thinking of staying at the local branch of a well-known upmarket hotel chain (who don’t include breakfast in their rate) but decided to try Giffard House instead as it appeared to offer much better value. The Giffard House hotel is where I would recommend going to when looking for a comfortable and beautiful stay somewhere around Winchester. Work has me stay in a lot of hotels, the giffard is by far the coziest and beautiful hotel I've stayed in. Peter and Yvonne (the owners) and their staff are wonderful and most helpful people! more
