Just one night in this travel lodge and it really was enough. Rated as high as 2 simply because of the price. The good points were few. The price of just £15 was extremely cheap and the staff were reasonable. Now for the neagative. The room had a strong smell,that wasn't pleasant and the room was very tired and grubby.... more

We booked this hotel 9 months in advance as our daughter is severely asthmatic. Travelodge let you book either a smoking or non-smoking room guaranteed (it doesn't say otherwise in their small print). Only paid £10 per night for 2 rooms for 2 nights so on that basis i have given this review an OK rating. However on arrival one of the rooms was dirty, lots of hairs in the bath !! The receptionist offered to clean the bath and did so with apologies. We spent a quiet and fairly comfortable first night.... more
