Good start, friendly welcome, very nice room, then went down to dinner, didn't get acknowledged by the bar man at all (still waiting) he only seemed interested in chatting to the locals and watching tv. The young guy who had showed us to our room only a couple of hours earlier had already forgotten our name and which room we... More

Excellent meal as usual at the Wykeham last week but could not believe portion sizes of the starters. The scallops at £9.50 consisted of just two scallops! Aesthetically 3 would have looked so much better and not as mean

Stopped here for a drink one sunny afternoon when touring Winchester - wow - love little old pubs like this that have kept their character and not tried to go all "gastropub" Nice little outdoor seating area to the rear & beer was good, couldn't comment on anything else as was a flying visit - but will make a point... Cannot rate this establishment highly enough. Staff are friendly and efficient. The Wykeham Arms has a laid back but professional ambiance. Outside terrace is pretty, breakfasts adorable, beautifully cooked food served on pretty china. We stayed in the Hamilton Room, which was very spacious, overlooking the street, slept like tops in the huge bed and had great fun in the gold... More

We were just overwhelmed by the ambiance and beauty of this old character hotel and one can feel the welcoming atmosphere as soon as entering. It was my husband's Birthday the previous day. Because we were not familiar with the areas, I was not sure where we could have a special celebration. When we entered this hotel, I knew that... More

We have always been in the past, regular visitors to the Wykeham Arms, but it had gone through some ups and downs, so we did not go as often as before. I am really pleased to say, that following our dinner with friends on Saturday evening, the Wykeham Arms is well and truly back! The food was outstanding, cooked to... More

Fantastic oldie-worldie pub and hotel in a beautiful part of the world wrapped in so much history you will find plenty to do on its door step. Booked two traditional rooms for myself and a colleague both of which were to a very high standard, very clean. My bed was perfectly soft with high quality linen, the bathroom was huge... More

My wife and I had 3 days in the Wykeham Arms. When you book online, you can never be certain of what you are going to get, but in my view this place undersells itself on its website. It is FULL of memorabilia - pewter mugs, old photographs, headgear, paintings, coronation mugs - it oozes history and is only three... More

Daer Andrew Thank you for your kind words. It really makes the effort worth while to receive such feedback. I am really pleased to hear that you found the pub, and its staff equally as charming as each other, something we work tirelessly towards achieving. I very much look forward to welcoming you back to the Wykeham arms, and please... More

Once again we had the pleasure of staying at Wykeham Arms in the room Kelsey. We also enjoyed dinner there on the Saturday night. Simply one of my favourite places in the world! Staff are all so very friendly and helpful - from the bar to the restaurant they all go about their jobs with a smile. The room is... More

Dear Rob H That really is super to read such a lovely review. My team work tirelesly to create such great memories, and this really does go a long way in rewarding them for that effort. Thanks again, and I have noted your comment about Kelsey bathroom. We are on it. All the best and see you soon. More

The hotel is as historical as the city itself. The room I got on the top floor was bit small but just enough for one people. The welcome package was very heart-warming including nice cookie bars and drinks. I like the small desk with which i managed to write my diary in the evenings. I feels great as the collage... More
