We loved this property. Food was spectacular, service extremely attentive and the grounds are magnificent. It's a little out of the way but worth the trip. Rooms and bathrooms are beautifully done and very comfortable. We stayed in the Rose room. Great tub and shower! We are hoping to go back because we were unable to take advantage of the... More

A rare treat to be in the lap of such luxury even for just a night on business! One of the most amazing rooms I have been in for a while and a treat to just wander the grounds or have a drink In the garden. If you like grand old houses here is a place to stay and experience... More

Attended Lainston House for afternoon tea for my mother in law's 60th birthday. Very pleasant staff made you feel welcome. We arrived early so took the chance to have a walk round and were told about the Kitchen Gardens and Avery. Wow amazing crops being grown and thoroughly enjoyed speaking to Judy about the birds of prey. All I can... More

I attended overnight to deliver a conference keynote, and was totally impressed by the hotel, the grounds, the food, the staff and Eric the 14 week old eagle owl. The hotel and grounds are manicured and spectacular, with hidden walled gardens, abounding and terraced areas with sweeping views. My suite was enormous with an elegant old-world sitting room and large... More

This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location. The rooms were amazing and everything just worked - no overly complicated showers and technology. Nothing was too much trouble, staff were very polite and generally attentive (though did have to wait a while to get served when sat on the terrace) and the decor very stylish. We had the 7... More

I stayed at this property for 1 night for work, attending a conference in the Dawley Barn during the day. The grounds are lovely (I particularly liked finding the kitchen garden) and property itself looked and felt like a well kept stately home. I was staying in the Ruby suite which had by the far the largest hotel bathroom I... More

We stayed here on Saturday 18 July. From the moment we arrived we felt the warmth and friendliness of the staff. The grounds are spectacular and the hotel beautifully decorated. The room, yew suite was gorgeous and dinner on Saturday delicious. I would love to return soon.

We chose the set lunch menu and each course was Beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Was really looking forward to this, however left very disappointed by the experience, the bread for the sandwiches was very dry, no lemon curd and had to wait almost an hour for my cakes. This meant my lovely tea was cold and no one came round to ask if I wanted another pot.

Went for our wedding anniversary dinner and was amazed at the outstandingly high standard of the cuisine. We chose the a la carte menu (although the tasting menu also looked very good) and the trout was the most delicious I think I've had and the main course of lamb was also stunningly presented and succulent. The staff were also attentive... More
