Wow what a transformation, lovely bar and restaurant. Leather chairs, some aspects like a reading room in a gentlemens club. Food is superb, we will be visiting more often. Thank you for a warm welcome. Not often you are offered a sample of a beer to try before you buy....

Having visited the Swan on and off over the past couple of years and experienced a fluctuation in the food/service etc it is great to report that the very recent refurb has transformed the interior, and both the food and the hospitality is now 1st rate. The range of beers remains good and appears to change regularly and the option... More

On a wet Sunday, my friend and I were going 'nowhere in particular' and decided to stop at the Swan. A lovely welcome and a roaring fire convinced us to order roast beef and settle down for a relaxing hour near the fire. The meal was lovely, plenty of flavourful, tender beef, crisp and tasty potatoes, freshly cooked veg and... More

We enjoyed our stay of 2 nights at the Swan Inn, lovely little village and the station is a great surprise. The meals and the atmosphere were lovely though the rooms were clean but a little tired. Heaps of off street car parking available.

I arrived at the inn early evening to find the bar fairly busy with a number of local community meetings going on but the checking in process was very easy and quick. I was given room 1 a twin room to stay in as apparently all the other rooms were taken. on entering I was taken back by how small... More

I have been to the Swan on two occasions. First as a lunch stop after shooting Clays at Owls Lodge shooting school, with friends. All three of us had a good lunch and decent ale. The crab was voted as excellent. More recently, since it is only 20 minutes from where I live, I took my wife there for lunch... More

We have cycled to this pub many a time and only had drinks so decided to try its food last night. What a mistake that was. We ordered a burger with fries and baked cod also with fries. The burger turned up on a piece of French bread which the waiter thought was quite normal when questioned despite us having... More

Just went to have a quick meal in our local for the first time in many months and where pleasantly surprised with our food. The chicken pies were recommended to us and we were advised that there would be some waiting time as it would be freshly prepared. It was well worth the wait and the handcut chips a great... More

The Swan is a charming village pub which retains its local feel. The ales were in good nick and there's a tasty, simple 'pub menu plus' with the welcome enhancements of thick hand cut chips, pie of the day etc. Good for a beer, snack or dinner.
