The B&B was very clean and the breakfast was superb. If you are traveling with your own car the B&B is very well located to take trips around Jane Austen country. Staying just outside of Winchester was ideal because traffic can be brutal in the city center.

The Lilacs is a perfect place to stay for a short break. The rooms are spotless and beds comfortable. Breakfast was first class and substantial and the owner friendly and helpful.

My daughter and myself stayed here for four nights and everything about our stay was excellent. It is beautifully clean, the breakfast was filling and varied and nothing is too much effort for Susan the proprietor. She even gave some medication for my daughter when she was ill.
