We booked into this B&B for our wedding anniversary when we were visiting Winchester to enough a weekend of relaxation and the renowned Christmas market. The double en-suite room is a delightful garden room where we could come and go as we please. The owner and her husband were incredibly friendly and had lots of tips to share about making... More

A lovely B&B location, in the centre of Winchester, located down a quiet street. The room is the garden 'shed', a fabulous little space with en suite. In the morning, we opened the shutters and drank tea in bed, listening to the cathedral bells. Very comfortable and quiet night and the hosts are just lovely, we had a great chat... More

We arrived at Cathedral Cottage to be warmly welcomed by Christine's son who showed us to a lovely quirky little garden room where we stayed for two nights. The room had all that we needed, was cosy and the (kingsize) bed very comfortable. Christine appeared later to ensure we were settled and advised us to book if we needed to... More

I made this booking as a birthday treat for my wife's birthday and so that we could have a relaxing weekend away but this took an unexpected turn when we arrived at cathedral cottage. We were given a nice welcome by christine's son and shown to our room. As I had previously been informed this was in the house with... More

The bed and breakfast garden room is an idyllic hideaway from the world. We went on a freezing cold weekend (first weekend of the Xmas market) and we were toasty warm in the room. The underfloor heating in the bathroom meant that feet didn't freeze. The bed is large and very comfortable. The B&B is a stones throw from the... More

The attraction was its proximity to the Cathedral where I was attending a memorial service for a dear friend. The room I booked was in the main house. The impression of the house was not good. I was shown to my room which was not en suite but more resembled student basic accommodation. I left. It was a shambles. The... More

A very comfortable and pleasant stay - Christine managed to fit me in a room in the house for 2 nights whilst I was in Winchester for work, which was very welcome as it was graduation week and accommodation in the city was scarce. The room (and especially the bed) I was in was very comfortable, the shower was excellent,... More

Comfortable lodgings; lovely garden setting in city center; a hostess who really came to the rescue on a small medical problem. We could leave our bags in her kitchen into well into the afternoon of our departure. All together a delightful stay in Winchester.

I'm afraid this was a bad choice for us. My husband and I were not comfortable here, the room facilities were quaint, sure, but also very basic, and expensive at £90 a night. I had to crawl over my sleeping partner in the night to go to the bathroom, not good for arthritic knees! And a large wooden chest at... More

Great host with Christine. Great Breakfast, plenty of choice.Ideal position if visiting Winchester and surrounding areas. Or sit in the park opposite. Bedroom inside house great if you are a solo traveller. Easy to find as within walking distance to bus station.
