This is a fab pub/hotel to stay at. Staff very friendly and welcoming as are the local villagers. Food fab. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again whether on way to cruise terminal at Southampton or not. Prices for room including breakfast very reasonable. Will be recommending this venue. As the pub is undergoing changes due to... More

Nice clean room. We were greeted by friendly staff and ate a nicely cooked dinner. Breakfast was a good plateful of tasty items. Nice and quiet village within easy reach of Winchester. Appropriate price for accommodation and service provided. Lovely friendly place for a weekend stay. The pub is undergoing some changes as new owners only moved in 4 months... More

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a family weekend. The accommodation is not fancy but very clean and has everything you need. We have stayed here before and one of the reasons we like it is that despite being a bit shabby, it has a traditional and unpretentious feel. The bar is well used by the locals and... More

Went today for a Fathers Day meal with my wife, son, daughter in law and two grandchildren, aged 3 and 4. Busy naturally on a Fathers Day Sunday, but we were welcomed and invited to drink before taking our table, so immediately made for a relaxed atmosphere. The service and food were really excellent with beautiful pasta, pies, chicken, fish... More

Stayed here for the Beer Festival, what a fabulous time we had. The food, atmosphere and welcome were second to none. The new owners have really turned this place around, all the staff work hard to please and improve what is a very old establishment. This pub is the centre of the community and I'm sure has earned a place... More

We arrived late on a bank holiday and were surprised that the food service ended at 3pm as I had earlier that morning been told on the telephone that food was served all day.Nevertheless, we were just in time and the very helpful staff could not have done more to ensure we had a good meal and a pleasant time... We found this pub online and was looking for something away from the big hotels but near to Winchester. We were travelling with a 5 year old so needed something pub like but still suitable. Northbrook Arms was all this and we really appreciated the friendly attitude and helpfulness. There is a relaxed atmosphere and good free wifi. The room... More

We had lunch on Friday 24th and had a great lunch, the Northbrook looked great - clean and bright and busy which was so good to see! I had the standard fish and chips which was very good but looked rather enviously and my son's belly of pork. We live in the village and it is great to see the... More

Though I haven't stayed at the Northbrook Arms (though the bar did look very nice), I have experienced the goodwill and kindness of the New landlord how gave me a free lift home after I got a puncher on my bike. Thank you, you saved me a 10 mile walk home.

The pub is welcoming and the bar staff are very pleasant. We arrived for Sunday lunch and were shown to our table at 1.15. After about 20 minutes our order was taken. The wine list was not forthcoming until we asked for it. Our meal eventually arrived at 2.20,no apologies were offered for the delay. The meal when it arrived... More
