Stayed for 1 night but really liked it, very welcoming, room nice size, bed was comfy, breakfast lovely, they couldn't do enough for us. Would def stay here again.

The welcome was warm and helpful. The room (not a deluxe one, just basic) was large but ordinary. A utilitarian bathroom was an over bath shower attached to bath taps, and no double glazing, so chilly. The bath was a god sized double but pretty hard. I'd stay again if the price was right, but wouldn't rush back.
All a bit average, no real complaints. didin't have dinner but the breakfast was ok.
I stayed on 22nd march 2012, with my wife and son. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff could not have been more helpful and polite. The food was exquisite, both at Dinner and for breakfast. I am very pleased that we found this gem of a hotel, and hope to stay again in the future.
Although we enjoyed our stay here we were not as thrilled as we had expected to be (after reading reviews). Admittedly it was a very "off season" period, but the place lacked any fizz or ambiance and the one evening we ate in the dining room, we were the only ones there.

Kevin and Julia, the owners of Harestock lodge, claim to offer "quality service at reasonable prices with a quiet ambiance" they certainly achieve this. The service in all areas is faultless, and (as is necessary in the current financial climate) all of the staff are able to multi-task.
The quality of the food and service in the restaurant far exceeded...

Clean, comfortable, warm and spacious room with a generous en suite. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. The food was extremely good as was the service, even though the hotel was catering for a large party that evening. We would definitely recommend, and visit again.
We have visited the Harestock Lodge on a number of occasions now and have never been disappointed. The Hotel doesn't look anything special from the outside, but the dining room is delightful, the food is always good with a choice of three courses, and service is always first class. Above all, their Sunday lunches are excellent value for money. As...

Stayed for 1 night. Frontdesk was very helpful. Spacious and clean room. Food was excellent (Breakfast was provided), the dinner experience was great! Will definitely stay again!
Most of the staff were helpful although the room was terrible. We had a twin room and clearly should have booked a deluxe room. The sheets had holes, no mattress protectors, bed springs in your back - which meant I ended up with a very painful back injury. No tissues but the offer of an extra roll of toilet paper...
