This was in an excellent position for visiting Winchester, only a short walk to the town centre. The room we had was perfect, no complaints at all. Staff were all very friendly. We did not have an evening meal here but breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again. More

I dine here quite regularly and the food is beyond reproach. The staff are always nice and although it is an old fashioned pub, the decor should not be updated to a monstrous new look. Stayed for one night on way to holiday cottage in Dorset. Room 4 is spacious, king size bed with White linen and very comfy.
