“Very convenient and cosy”

Best location in town, in the historical city center. The rooms are big, very large and comfortable beds, and the building has a nice comes from the past style. Progress could be made in the bathroom, quite small, but that comes with the old building architecture. A good pick, with a very decent value. More

Had to stay in Southampton so picked this place because if the nice pictures. I now review customer pictures going forward. I learnt a lesson here. Some nice areas but generally not that great. I booked three standard rooms for a 1 night stay pre cruise on the 3rd may 2012, on arrival the reception staff were very friendly and helpful which made check in stress free all six of us were in our rooms within 5 minutes of entering the hotel! the hotel is very clean, our rooms were modernly decorated and spacious... We stayed on a half board basis on Saturday night and I have to say the room was fantastic and the food and service was 5 star. Young James was so attentive as he looked after our every need during our time in the restaurant. More

Great location right on the High St and within walking distance of the restaurants and the shopping. (West Quay shopping was fab!) Good proximity to shops, bars and restaurants. Average to small size rooms but well furnished with comfortable beds, good bathroom and our room over looked the car park which was a quiet location. Breakfast was OK too. More

Unfortunately the Dolphin Hotel in Southampton fell very far short of expectations on a recent trip to the city. Internet search found me a stay, park and taxi service to the Ocean Terminal at Southampton at a price which suited me very well.
