Stayed for two nights while in Southampton for business. Have not previously stayed at Holiday Inns prior to this trip but was pleasantly surprised. Stayed here for work as I have done in the past. The hotel has a great location, just by the IofW ferry terminal and a waterside park and nearby the West Quay shopping centre. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Southampton as we were going on a Cruise, what a great location. We had a room that over looked the ship in the dock which added to the excitement. The hotel has had a refurbishment and looks very modern and classy. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. highly recommended. more

Stayed overnight prior to a cruise. Hotel is in an ideal location for the cruise terminal. We had booked a d.b.b. package, no complaints about the staff or the dinner/breakfast package. Hotel was clean and all you would expect from this chain. Gym was across a path from the main hotel, but ok if not in the winter. Parking was plentifull if not a little unlit in some areas. This hotel is one of the worst I have ever stayed in and especially for Holiday Inn. There is no focus on customer care. No one smiles and the restaurant staff were actually rude and more interested in watching football than serving customers. For the price paid, the rooms are not up to standard.
