Shabby chic it was not - just shabby. On opening the ground floor bedroom window had me reaching for my camera (not the kind of holiday snaps I anticipated). I have just spent two nights in what is possibly the most shabby, sordid hotel in the UK. This is by far the greatest hotel I ever stayed in! I have travelled to many a hotel and beleive me, I have seen both ends of the scale. I have stayed at hotels in Edinburugh, Liverpool, Manchester, London and many other places, and after careful, consideration I reccomend the Fountain Court Hotel over any other in the United Kingdom.... more
