Staff were friendly. Washroom and toilets could have been cleaner. Considering it was very busy on the site , more effort should have been made to check them more regularly. There was some kind of problem in the toilets causing a deafening noise and vibrations which was not dealt with in the 3 days we were there. Site was otherwise... More

Site location, staff and facilities are amazing, great showers and shop. However we arrived at 9:00pm and were left to find our own pitch. We had booked a premium pitch but we're not told where they were so we went off to find one. We finally found a regular pitch and began to unpack. Almost immediately a guy came out... More

It has improved so much over the years we have been going and the staff were excellent. Handy shop and take away. Lovely area for... More

Had a great time with our family the kids enjoyed going off on adventures in the woods we would highly recommend this site. Although there is no club house or swimming pool it was great to have some interactive family time.

The showers were clean and lovely and hot ever time e used them. Staff very friendly. Would have liked to have been able to book a specific pitch for our summer return... More

After buying our first motorhome my wife and I decided to go to the New Forest as she'd always wanted to visit. We had three nights at Holmsley and found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the facilities excellent, and the location perfect for the two of us and our dogs. There was always somewhere new to explore, even... More

We came here in our motorhome for three nights at the end of October. What a superb site to stay at. No regimented rows, pick your spot, we were on the plentiful hard standing with the benefit of electric hookup. Even though the site was on the point of closing for the winter it was fu nctioning well although naturally... More

I am quite emotionally attached to another campsite within the New Forest and go there a lot however when I went to book it recently, it was closed for the season. The helpful chap on the phone from www.campingintheforest.co.uk recommended I go to Holmsley as it was much the same regarding what it offers. I was dubious however booked it... More

Over the August bank holiday a group of 15 of us (aged 21-23) came to stay at this campsite for two nights. We were slightly concerned about finding a plot big enough, as we were told the three pitches we booked aren't necessarily together so it was a bit of a free for all when finding a plot. We did...
