The site itself is perfectly located. Loads of horses and cows roaming about (none in the actual site). Really close to the beaches as well and a short drive to loads of attractions. Onsite a good shop, not always stocked enough, but it was very busy, one day no fresh milk left in the afternoon. The onsite toliets, showers and... More

We had booked 5 nights here in August as had heard it was as good as Hollands Wood and thought we would try somewhere different, it was very busy and we had the choice of a flat exposed windy area or a sloped grassy area with more trees, as we had a 1 year old with us we opted for... More

Wont go back waste of money and time off work. some of the staff are rude and very unhelpful the 2 members of staff that did talk to us one was very apoplectic nice guy (after a massive screw up) other was also nice but made comments like "i wouldn't let my kids play in the park and "i wont... In terms of camping location it's stunning, wild horses block your exit on a morning as you drive through the New Forest. Sure its not the most modern site built literally on the runway of a WW11 aerodrome, lots of hard standing. It's big lots of open space, ageing clean toilet blocks and a decent shop but you come back... More

Just got back from long weekend at Holmsley and very impressed with site - would use again!! Great little shop, very well stocked and surprisingly fairly priced - clearly not trying to make money out of people as many of these site shops do. Very friendly and helpful staff. Only let down was number of showers, being high season there... More

I have now used a few sites in the New Forest and came here as my regular one was full. I have a very large American motorhome so need quite a bit of space so booked a premier pitch. This is where they do need some improvement. There are no specific pitches so you have to find a suitable area... More

Our first camping trip as a family of 4 with a dog. The shop was well stocked for all the last minute things you might need when camping especially an awesome coffee machine for those early mornings when you need a coffee and your stove wont work! Staff are super friendly and helpful. All mature staff that know the camp... More

A well run site in a great location for accessing local trails. The wardens are friendly and welcoming. We found a good pitch for our campervan although as a disused airfield the unusual hard standing layout reflects the original function of the site. The site is great for children -safe and perfect for them to ride their bikes.

First family camping trip, great welcome from Holmsley staff and cracking advice on best pitch location. Had a fantastic weekend, clean facilities, good little (very busy) shop and weather treated us well as well! Highly recommend not taking your own breakfast as freshly baked bread and croissants are to die for!

As a family we have camped at Homsley twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The play area seems to be the local meeting place for the children & they soon make friends. Homsley is down a very quiet road with free parking outside if taking a second car. The on-site shop is well stocked & there is also a... More
