We stayed here for 4 nights in May 2012 and found it to be very friendly and extremely well run. Even during busy times at reception and breakfast we were served without delay and all of the staff were pleasant and always made a point to greet you when passing. Well recommended.

Stayed at Novotel Southampton this week Mon/Tue.Good modern hotel with excellent facilities and good rooms.Breakfast not brilliant-standard buffet breakfast with lukewarm food and rubber fried eggs!Room very hot during the night owing to no air conditioning-in spite of asking for(and being provided with) a large fan.Left window open but still hot.

Spent 2 nights pre-cruise. Walking distance (about 8 minutes) from National Express Bus Station & another 6 minute walk to the train station. The night at the Novotel before joining the QE, was exactly what we wanted..........Enjoyable, efficient, the reception staff were helpful and friendly. Standard of the restaurant was better than I ever expected, Dinner and breakfast, reasonably priced for a hotel in England!!! Would definitely recommend this hotel again. High standard for a hotel in England........
