Easy check in. Refurbishment team working on our floor. Our room still old-style, dingy, and in need of makeover. Squeaky door hinges, stained cushions, much fluff, stained net curtains. This hotel is very very good for an over night stay before departing on a cruise. The Hotel is very clean and modern. Also you have a free car park right across from the hotel if you need it. This is a Novotel -- in the shopping area of Southampton..... The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable -- yes, the toilet was separate from shower/wash basin room (not a big deal!).
