Just returned from our stay at woodland lodge and would happily return there. Staff were extremley friendly and helpful, the room was spotless with a wonderful view of the surrounding gardens, which were very well maintained!. We didn't have the evening meal at the hotel but did have the breakfast which we both thought was lovely. more

We stayed for one night in September as we were attending a reception at the hotel. I understood the rooms were being refurbished but was not prepared for the room we were given. The room was not one of the refurbished rooms in fact it was truly dreadful. There were stains on the carpet, the decor was really dated, the... more

I have just spent a wonderful weekend at the Woodlands Lodge Hotel. The hotel is impressive on first appearances, both inside and out. Our room was tastefully decorated with a countryside feel and catered for all our needs. The real gas fire in the bedroom was a lovely touch on a cold November evening, and the whirlpool bath and separate... more

I was a bit nervous about my stay at the Woodlands Lodge after reading the other reviews but was pleasantly surprised - the room was fantastic with an enormous and very comfortable bed (and a proper duvet) - the bathroom included both a shower and whirlpool bath (which was most appreciated after a day out walking). My room over looked... more

We decided,at the very last minute, to go away for the bank holiday weekend,at the end of May.Without doing much(if any)research we booked the only room they had available, which we were told was a'standard'so we didn't hold out a lot of hope, however,as soon as we entered the woodland we were blown away by the setting and the design of the... more

We went for a weekend to relax and catch up on sleep. However, the bed was so soft that my husband and I both ended up being in the middle of the bed and could not get much sleep. The mattress need to be sturdier/firmer... On top of not getting decent sleep, our bodies were aching a bit here and... more

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing weekend at the Woodland Lodge. We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms which was very spacious, clean and had a lovely large conservatory with its own small garden for the dog. The conservatory is excellent if you have a dog as it has a tiled floor which leads straight into the... more

I used to live within a mile of the hotel and when some family business took us back into the New Forest we decided to stay in the area I was born. Telephone booking direct to the hotel was well handled and a confirmatory letter arrived a few days later. Having read some of the reviews of this hotel after... more

Lovely location. Accomodation reasonable but bathroom nothing short of a health hazard for anyone but the very nimble. Sunken huge whirlpool bath surrounded by stone tiles. Not environmently friendly as would need gallons of water- we were too nervous to do anything other than basic ablutions as all the areas were so slippery when wet. Staff friendly and obliging at... more

Terrible accomodation. Very dated, needs complete renovation. My room was filthy - hairs and bugs and rubbish in the washroom and the cleanliness of the bed sheets was suspect. Staff was conceited and unhelpful. The walls and ceiling were so thin that I could hear the person snoring on the floor above me. Horrible value for money. more
