Very dissappointed. Small room, no view, no air-con, very noisy fan. Problem with the booking system, problem with the car park ticket m/c, basically one big problem. Breakfast was ok but overall I would not recommend this place unless you get a very cheap rate. more

Perfectly adequate sums this up but, look. If you are after that extra bit of pampering along with a bit of luxury then this is not your place. The first problem is the lack of air conditioning. This is a major problem in this day and age for this level of hotel. They really do need to sort this out.... more

Please let me advise you if you are looking for a good 4 star hotel, forget this one. I have stayed twice now, and both times were very poor. 1. Always understaffed, and staff are not polite 2. No air conditioning, so don't stay in the warmer months 3. Expensive for what you get. more

Hotel is what you would generally expect for its star rating although decor wise it seems dated. Spa and pool very nice but the restaurant is to be avoided as the food was expensive but of a very low standard. The hotel is well located and the conference facilities were quite good. The staff looking after the conference facilities did... more

Lovely looking Hotel from outside. Breakfast area was wonderful, well lit and food fully stocked. It did get a little hot when the Sun came out due to the large area of external glass! The accommodation areas seemed a little dark but the rooms were well appointed. Location wise, i wish it was closer to city center. more

Lovely hotel my only complaint is I booked this with friends as a weekend break a few weeks in advance and requested non smoking rooms next door to each other, when checking in they confirmed this had been done when we reached our rooms they were not close and on opposite sides of the corridor and were disabled smoking, they... more

Took 15 mins to check us in, "a new system" apparently. Receptionist was incredibly polite though. The 'new system' did not receive any of the additional information I input whilst booking through a third party on the web. Put in a smoking room when requested a non-smoking room and could only be moved on the second night. £5 per night... more

This hotel was much better than I had expected. I stayed here with my wife on a short business trip and it was perfect for the purpose. The room was comfortable and well laid-out with everything one requires. The modern design of the hotel makes the bar interesting and good for a late-night cocktail. We didn't dine here, so I... more

We have just got back from 2 nights in the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel Southampton, and what a great time we had. As usual I checked out some of the comments made on Trip Advisor, and various other sources, and I was quite surprised by negative feedback given, and so this gave me some concern what to expect. The... more

Stayed in a Deluxe room, overlooking the harbour. The room was spacious and beautiful decor. Breakfast was lovely and service excellant, our waiter was Ibraham who provided us with great attentive service. more
