I stayed here for a friend's wedding and booked fairly last minute, so rather than a lazy choice of 'some chain hotel', I booked this lovely little guest house. The lady who checked me in was so wonderfully welcoming and after realising how long my journey was she furnished me with a couple of local brochures, taxi numbers, local advice... More

I usually don't relax on my first night away from home, but the instant we arrived we felt welcome. We were greeted by a warm lady who ensured we had all the information we needed. This lady also had a wealth of knowledge about the area and suggested places where we may like to spend our afternoon. We had booked... More

Excellent Bn'B in Southampton. Communication and booking were pleasant and easy. The proprietor is charming and helpful. It's on quite a busy road but in a good central positon. The rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms were spotless and gleaming. The best thing though is the breakfast. There was a wide range of fresh fruit, fruit... More

We spent one night prior to our son's graduation. The room was spotless and very comfortable, the shower ferocious and the breakfast delicious and locally sourced -l can recommend the eggs benedict. The fresh rosebuds on thebreakfast table is indicative of the care taken by A J and her staff. This is not a boutique or a luxury hotel as... More

Such a lovely welcome - we got quite lost & were very patiently 'talked in'! Good sized room & bathroom & pleasantly decorated. Nothing seemed too much trouble with maps printed out for us next morning to get to Winchester & advice how to avoid worst of the traffic. Breakfast was delicious, wonderful selection of fresh fruit salads, etc &... More

Not many rooms, basic but excellent value for money. The lady who runs the places is lovely so helpful and kind. The cooked breakfast and very nice and cooked to order. Decent amount of parking and the owner is willing to reserve a space at the front if needed

We stayed for one night in a double room number 1. I didn't like the fact that you couldn't turn off one of the radiators. There was only one bedside cabinet. The double was made up of two single beds and we found the pillows not very confy. The good points, free parking, plenty of drinks in the room including... More

We stayed in a double room in the ground floor which was comfortable. The room could do with an update; the bathroom is a good size but the shower could do with resealing as looking dirty in places even though its not; there is only one bedside cabinet so drinks/glasses had to be put on the floor and the towels... I stayed in a twin room with ensuite, it was a lovely room, fully tiled bathroom, a nice clean well decorated room with comfortable beds, free Wi Fi. The breakfast was first class. I would certainly stay again if in the area.

Stayed here alone for a business trip. The building is lovely, I was warmly welcomed and given a very nice large downstairs double room for a very good price. Everything was explained to me including wi-fi access. In the morning I had a lovely breakfast with that rarest of things in a hotel - lovely coffee and providing a veggie... More
