5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We booked last minute and were able to be put into a deluxe double with large windows. The room was bright and cheery. The bath was very modern with a large walk in shower. Sorry that we were unable to stay the second night. The hotel was fully booked.

This could become our most favourite of these wonderful boutique hotels. They are all similar and each one has been good, but we do prefer the ones that have their own dining area/lounge/bar as this one does. Always love the decor, the great friendly helpful staff and the general atmosphere etc. Don't know if it's a new policy throughout the... More

We've stayed here before and could not fault this lovely little hotel. Staff are lovely and rooms immaculate and very comfortable. No tea or coffee in the rooms - you just call reception and they bring up a freshly made tray for you - but the wait was minimal. We had booked two rooms this time, a suite and a... More

The hotel is quite small but beautiful. The staff are extremely helpfull, attentive and friendly. We stayed in a small double room, which although small in size was perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean. The ensuite facilities were well kept with an excellent shower. Tea and coffee is served to order between 7am and 11pm and included in the price. An... More

Loved this hotel , found it online otherwise you wouldn't know it existed. Part of a chain of lovely boutique hotels. We visit Portsmouth a lot and although we like nice hotels we normally just stay at the holiday inn for convenience when in Portsmouth but fancied a change. Number 4 did not disappoint. A very warm welcome , shown... More

We stayed at No.4 for two nights earlier this week and were impressed by both the hotel itself and the staff. We stayed in room 7 which was spacious and light, having a double aspect. The decor was restful but with quirky little touches (loved the dog with the cone lamp). The bed was very soft but didn't really affect... More

We stayed in room 2, and whilst the decor was nice, it is on the ground floor, right by the reception, and right next to another room. We were woken both mornings by either noises in the reception or the slamming of the (very loud) doors from room 1. I think this is fairly badly designed for a hotel. The... More

I felt so comfortable at this hotel - all staff were very friendly especially dear Anna who was so understanding and compassionate after our very long journey - you are a delight. Our room on the ground floor was excellent with a sitting room and a little patio area. All so nicely done. I would love to come back and... More

Stayed here for a night in may. Had the downstairs room, which had a nice bedroom sitting room and its own little garden. Very comfortable, and a great breakfast. Staff were lovely. Good location in southsea, Recommended!
