Would not recommend this B&B. The bedding was not clean, towels smell, the wire of the socket underneath the table is hanging out and the shower itself was a nightmare! However, I'd give some credit to the good location, breakfast and the rather friendly owner.

I'm sorry to say that the comments are totally untrue and libellous. Our sheets are scrupulously cleaned using Ariel Actilift and the towels are softened with Lenor Spring Awakening. Any stains noticed when the bed is stripped are spot washed and if a mark is noticed during the making of the bed it is rejected. We are fastidious about this... More

Dear henlowboy Thank you for the review and glad you enjoyed your stay. Just to respond to your comments, we have now replaced the shower heads with ones on a flexible hose, and unfortunately the tap colours come off with continuous cleaning. Normally the dining room is warm but sometimes a guest turns the radiator off, and I don't notice... More

The only disappointment with this B&B is that we could only stay one night! The friendliest and most helpful hosts, exceptionally respectful of all their guests, and quite possibly the nicest full english breakfast i've ever had! Very well organized, warm, comfortable and welcoming. Very clear safety directions, and such nice attention to small details... simple things such as the... More

Dear NatVV Thank you for your lovely review. I'm glad you loved the directions sign, Two things prompted me to put it there, 1. I have a dreadful memory and when I stay at a hotel and given directions the moment I step outside I can’t remember left or right. 2. Another guest said the next morning over breakfast there... More

We stayed at Victoria Court for 3 nights the room was clean and tidy although I thought the bathroom dated and could do with a refurb. The owner was an excellent host and remembered our breakfast tates which was very thoughtful and made our stay enjoyable. We would definately use this B&B again it was easy to find and well... More

Dear Wendy S Thank you for taking time to write a review. I was surprised to see you thought the bath room was dated and need refurbishment especially as it was totally updated last year by a professional company. This was to incorporate a new sound deadening wall and ceiling lining to comply with the latest regulations. The flooring and... More

Stayed for 1 night in this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Place was spotlessthroughout, owner friendly and helpful, breakfast was lovely and was only a £3.50 taxi ride from Gun Wharf Quays. Would definitely recommend.

Gun Wharf Quays is well worth a visit and hope you went up the Spinnaker Tower and not spent too much money in the tempting shops there. Hope you visit us again in the near future. Having read these reviews we were surprised to find a less than average B&B. Room was clean but bedding was inadequate and despite an exhausting day we had a dreadful nights sleep. Bathroom was shabby, shower dreadful. Plug socket hanging off the wall in bedroom which seems dangerous. Would not recommend.

I’m sorry you had a disappointing stay with us especially as we try to make guests as comfortable as possible. Bedding. I’m not to sure what you mean by inadequate bedding, but it is supplied by one of the best hospitality manufacturers http://www.mitrehallandletts.com . The sheets are all Egyptian cotton. The blankets are all wool while the pillows are filled... More

We stayed at the Victoria Court on a Saturday night when attending a family party. The B&B was perfectly situated a mere 5 minute walk from the venue of the party so was perfect! It's a very well run business with comfortable and very well stocked rooms. The owners cater for everything you could possibly need, including plenty of towels,... More

We stayed here for a wedding from Fri-sunday in July 2011. A lovely clean and bright building. Spacious rooms and double glazing really kept out the noise of the street outside. A good breakfast also. David even gave us a box of chocolates when we checked out- lovely touch and would definately stay here again. Thank you
