As a Guide Dog owner it is difficult to find hotels that are as accepting, helpful & friendly as the Farmhouse Lodge Inn. The room was great but the staff made it for me, we stayed for 3 nights 4 days and every one who works there couldn't do enough for you. Everything is on one level & as long... More

Stayed for one night before catching an early ferry. Basic but good sized rooms. We were well away from the main reception, and the room was quiet and clean. But it is all a bit tired and could do with a bit of freshening up. But it's fine for a short stay

Stayed here the night before a university open day and all I can say is yuk. Positives are the staff, the poor girl in the restaurant in the evening was running the bar, waitressing and clearing tables all on her own and kept smiling as did the lad at breakfast and the reception staff were very polite and helpful. The... More

Myself and a colleague stayed here for just a night whilst in the area with work. I would agree with most other reviews, the hotel is tired, dated and in need of a lot of refurbishment if it wanted to receive 5⭐️ Reviews. Similar complaints with bathroom mould etc. The hotel advertises as a wedding venue so clearly has guests... More

Stayed one night at a very reasonable rate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Wall paper was curling up away from the coveing. Which had obviously been painted over. Remote control for tv batteries were flat. You could hear the person in the room above walking around. Clean, basic. Food was good.

Very very tired hotel. Room good size with reasonable fixtures. However damp patches on ceiling and peeling wallpaper is unacceptable. Neither is chewing gum embedded in carpet. Bed was too soft, but this is subjective. Bathroom ok but PVC shower curtain ? Thought these had gone forever 20 years ago.

Stayed one night for a party hosted at the hotel. The staff were amazing, every one of them helpful, cheerful and polite. The common areas looked OK, but the room was 'tired' and could do with a good makeover, but was basically clean and the bed was comfortable. Couldn't fault the food - good food at the party and excellent... More

stopped for one night in February.the hotel stank of mildew, due to a leaking flat roof(leaking for months according to the staff).three lots of "clean" cutlery had dried food on them.the resteraunt ceiling had a hole in it.the tiles in front of the bar were cracked with huge holes in them.on the plus side, the reception staff were very apologetic(almost embarrassed) and... I have been a guest at the hotel every week besides weekends for the past 12 months. All the receptionists have a very helpful friendly manner which makes the stay feel like I'm home from home. They go out of there way to make it a pleasant week and would like to give them my appreciation for al they have... More
