It was ok - as expected for the price. Reception staff were helpful and polite. Our room was ok, clean and adequate. Not in the best state of repair - but did the job. Breakfast was pretty poor ..... Better off going down the road to the harvester which we did on the second morning.

this hotel is fine for one night. The location was great for us as near family, the room itself was fine, roomy and very comfortable beds. We stayed in the disabled room, as husband on crutches, and was very near reception. However the bathroom was very tired and grubby looking and really could do with being ripped out and refurbished.... More

My friends and I stayed here as part of a Christmas shopping trip so didn't want to spend a lot on accommodation and it was definitely worth the money. We asked for quiet rooms and both were well away from the Reception and Lounge areas so we all had a really good night's sleep. The rooms were spacious, with comfortable... More

Just returned from a one night stay. First impressions were negative as the reception lady did not make us feel welcome. Our room was good considering we paid £65 which included breakfast. We used there restaurant (hungry horse) for a quick bite to eat but we were surprised that we had to wait 45 minutes for a hamburger, especially when... More

I stayed here for a last minute business meeting and this was the most convenient hotel in my budget. It has to be said that the hotel is tired in places, the door in my bathroom for example had damage to the bottom from water and years of use, and the painted over wallpaper had started to peel. The radiators... More

The was the first time we had stayed in Portsmouth and chose this hotel over Ibis. Was glad that we did. From the we walked through the door we were treated as valued guests. The room was warm and welcoming. Unlike many hotels the heating was already on which was very much appreciated as it was cold outside. The whole... More

I have stayed at this hotel many times, as a frequent visitor to Portsmouth. In my opinion these poor reviews are undeserved. It is often hard to get any decent priced hotel in Portsmouth, especially in the summer or when there are events, and I have stayed in some really horrid b&b's which often charge the same price. I have... More

Busy Saturday lunchtime and the food took a while, but an acceptable time. Mixed grill cooked as I wanted it, and good quality meat, especially for the price. BUT, all my food incuding the chips were lukewarm at best. I didn't send it back as it was very busy and I would have had to wait again. Interesting that the... More

We recently travelled down to Portsmouth while meeting up with a relative at university. I fear a lot of the reviews here are simply expecting too much, we paid £70 for an executive room, this was one of the cheapest in Portsmouth. I do a lot of travelling and you certainly get what you pay for. The room was spacious... More

Having sold our house we needed a hotel to stay before our retirement to Malta so we booked a room at the inn lodge Portsmouth,we stayed for two weeks during a very busy period and they were very helpful in fitting us in. The staff were brilliant, they looked after us like a 5 star hotel, They arranged a family... More
