Nice little hotel, 6 guest in 3 rooms max. Family run, very kind owners. Place to park in the street, owners get you a daily parking tickets 2 GBP per day. Good English breakfast or cereals, yogurt, fruit, tea and coffee. Small but clean rooms, warm shower, LCD tv, free WiFi. Cattle for tea in the room and a cookie... More

We spent 3 nights at Southsea Lodge, which is nicely located - 20 minutes walk from Gunwharf Quay and an equal distance to the Southsea seafront. We had a warm welcome, which was informative. Our double room was on the first floor, at the rear. It was clean and tidy, but we were disappointed that the furniture and overall decor... More

Lovely family B&B with very friendly and helpfull owners. Room was very spacious and clean, with free WiFi and good (cooked) breakfast. Also great location, very close to pubs and local amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

I had two nights here with a friend over the bank holidyay weekend for Victorious Festival. The B&B was in a good locatoin and we were able to walk easily from Frant train station in around 10 minutes. On a day with good weather, you would be able to have a very nice walk through Southsea down to the seafront... More

Finding your B&B on here has inspired me to leave you a review of the lovely two times I have stayed here. My first stay I was with my two friends, and we stayed in the family room with the pullout sofa. We had ended up there after realizing that we booked a single hotel room at the Novotel and... More

One of the worst ever B&B I've stayed at. Who would have a private under age party whilst you have customers staying in your property?!?! I have just witnessed under age drinkers and a very rude landlady! I will be demanding a full refund to compensate this horrible evening .

Oh dear! There was indeed an incident the evening this guest stayed; (incidently the date of the review is some weeks after they stayed, yet it has been written as if the incident occurred that night!) There was no 'party' actually our daughter had a few friends over for pizza & DVD; unfortunately a couple of irresponsible lads sneaked alcohol... More

Stayed at the Southsea Lodge as a late booking and overall found it to be a nice couple of nights stay. The positives certainly include the lovely hosts, a clean room and en suite as well as a very nice breakfast. The house and decor are kept in good order. We had a twin room with an extra bed for... Stayed for 2 nights. Was able to book in well before 4pm as the room was ready. Had a double room for sole use, which resulted in the normal supplement being incurred. This spoiled the value for money aspect of my stay. Normal rates for a double were good. The room was clean, warm and comfortable with a good en-suite... More

Warm and friendly, this is your typical English bed and breakfast, perfect for a one night stopover. However the shower room was extremely small, and water things (wc and shower) seemed to make strange loud noises! But the rooms don't have space for anything larger. Breakfast was normal - fine. Staff friendly.
