All Travelodges accept dogs which is a massive bonus for us. Excellent car park facilities which are free. Lovely warm welcome by reception staff. Clean and comfortable hotel. Although not a refurbished hotel, this hotel is still in very good condition the only thing we noted was that the lighting could do with modernising a bit. Harvester restaurant next door... More

We visited the hotel on our way to the ferries. It was located by a Harvester Inn which complimented each other. The rooms were spacious, clean and well presented. The beds, as usual, were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. All in all, the hotel is in a good location for local attractions.

Sue the manager went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. She was on hand to help out with local information and made an extra effort during our stay. The rooms were comfortable and the stay was made easier by having the Harvester just next door for evening meals or breakfast.

Our experiences with Travelodges have been very poor in the past so we booked this hotel with trepidation - we were travelling on the Portsmouth-Spain ferry the next day and this was convenient and reasonably priced. We were pleasantly surprised to find the twin beds were actually a proper size instead of the narrow-kiddy-sized-beds we had in other Travelodges. Everything... More

I've stayed at a Travelodge quite a bit over recent months so I know what to expect and I'm pleased to say that all was generally fine with this hotel. Check in was easy and without fuss and the room was all as I’d expected but I did have an odour issue coming from the bathroom drains but this did... More

Ok so I agree it's cheap, but it also feels cheap. The bed was average, not terrible but I didn't get a greats nice sleep. The shower was rubbish, Low pressure, took ages to heat up and the provided shower gel smelt horrible. I think I smelt worse after my shower! The rooms where poorly sound insulated as I could... Its a no frills hotel, has exactly what you need, showers only, tea and coffee, comfy bed and a pretty spacious room (I was able to do a daily workout). I guess if I were to moan I'd say the walls are a little thin and I could hear my neighbours conversation through the wall and as they allow pets... More

We had the misfortune to stay here just before Christmas, the room was no more than a two star level. We had people in the next room that were so noisy I had to ask the man on reception to do something about the noise twice, this did no good and had the (was going to say person) ar!e shouting... family overnight stay. Old fashioned internal doors, but the rooms have been refurbished, comfortable and clean. Only a shower unfortunately. Staff were pleasant throughout the stay. Restaurant nearby, plenty of free parking too.
