Stayed for one night as was seeing a concert in Portsmouth. This really was tremendous value for money. The check-in process was very good indeed - helpful friendly staff who were better at their job than the staff at the last (£140 per night) hotel I stayed in. The shower was brilliant too! more

On arrival, the helpful girls on reception worked things so we had a room with more space for our small baby- much appreciated. Etap hotel rooms are minimal- you can count the fixtures and fittings on one hand- but for the price it was just fine. Stayed at hotel as were at a party in town. Room was modern and clean. There is no separate bathroom but a step in shower and separate toilet. The wash basin is in the main room. Booked four rooms as a last resort at £35 rather than over £100 elsewhere. It's functional and basic and works. If you need them and you can take your own pillows, a kettle and stuff for tea/coffee in teh room and a hair dryer. Some rooms even have a view of teh Pompey football ground....
