We stayed here for one night, as a base for exporing Portsmouth the following day. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and quiet and the shower was good. Breakfast was good - there was a choice of full English, cereal, fruit, toast etc. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed at the hotel on March 21 for one night whilst visiting Portsmouth Naval base for a defence course, after vacating and starting my course i realised i had left my mobile phone charger in the room, after contacting reception they assured me when i finish my course the charger would be available at reception for me to collect,... I only stayed one night at this hotel. My train arrived at 11.30pm into Portsmouth Harbour station and I was looking for a comfy hotel near the station which I could walk to and didn't need to find a cab late at night. The hotel is very close to the station and other attractions in the centre. The staff were... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a package which included Dinner on 1st night and entrance to Shipyard. The Hotel is in a perfect location, only a few minutes walk from The Historic Shipyard. It suited our needs perfectly. We stayed in one of the upgraded rooms which was modern, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good,... More

I stayed here for a night with my fiancé. The location is amazing, close to all attractions. The room was nice and clean, the buffet breakfast was really nice, staff was very kind. The pool was dirty and the area looked very old. Steam room wasn't hot enough, jacuzzi didn't work.

The location of the hotel could not have been better. Just a very short walk from the train station and with the entrance to the Royal Dockyard a matter of yards away. The Gunwharf Quay also on the doorstep with the Spinnaker Tower, shops and attractions all at hand. The hotel itself although not 'Glitzy' oozed with character and tastefully... More

It is a slightly tired hotel in a reasonable part of town. The lift is very small and I couldn't make it work at all (everyone else could). The public areas look lovely, backstage it all looks a tad dated. The room was clean, the bathroom was lovely but I just felt it all needed bringing into the 21st century.... More

We stop here once a year, and I have to say that this place never changes, which is a bad thing as some of the rooms do need upgrading which seems to be taken a very long time. The staff at this hotel are great, very friendly, and will answer any daft question or request you put to them. The... More
