We stayed at The Swan Hotel for one night, and had a row of disappointments. First, the bed was crooked and worn down, so we had a terrible night. Second, while receiving two wifi-codes, none of them worked. Third, we asked the staff twice to help us plan public transport to Bristol. While promising to do so, they forgot. We... More

We stayed here for four nights to enable us to attend a family celebration and were very impressed with the food and staff. Yes it is old - 16th or 17th century coaching inn - but the rooms had been given a sympathetic up-grade in keeping with the character of the building. Unfortunately no lift but the room on possibly... More

A welcome place to stay after a day's walking on the Cotswold Way. Friendly staff. Room was large and clean. Lovely to find a bathtub as well as a shower. Had dinner in the pub which was very good. Enjoyed meeting the resident cat. Not a quiet street and it was hot so had to have windows open but still... More

I was here for an informal business meeting with a couple of colleagues. Tucking ourselves out the way, the staff could not be more accommodating. Lovely old building which is very well kept. Good coffee, great range of sandwiches at a great price, even the salad had a lovely dressing meaning it was eaten rather than wasted. The staff were... More

We stayed here for one night, whilst walking the Cotswold Way. The welcome was very warm, and the staff genuinely friendly. Check in was easy. We had dinner in the restaurant. The menu was varied and used local produce. Quality of the food was good for both dinner and breakfast. The bar catered for locals which made for a friendly... More

Stayed one night as a stop off on the Cotswold Way, reviews had left me with low expectations - what I found was a large, clean room with a four poster bed, decent bathroom and polite, uninstrusive service. If I would grumble I would say the shower was not exactly high pressure. Ideally located for the local amenities.

good location and charming from the outside. Absolutely dreadful food and dismal but adequate accommodation! Stayed there with friends on the Cotswold way walk. Had dinner there - ordered broccoli and stilton soup which arrived a beige colour and with a thick skin on top drizzled with dried herbs. Would NOT stay there again. One nice thing was the guy... Dear Guest, we apologised and acknowledged an issue with the soup, which I personally raised with the chef (at the time) and you were refunded for this. You ate your other meals without any complaints and were asked if everything was to your expectations. Both myself and the chef had spent some time talking to you and you said you... More

Popped into the Swan yesterday for lunch whilst bumbling around the area. We had looked it up online previously and noticed a great deal on the "senior citizens menu" which we thought we would try at some time. The menu is not on display with their others, why not? The rump steak for two people with two glasses of wine... More

Went to the Swan for lunch with my mum. Wine was excellent, food was very good and staff were friendly. Sat by the log burner on comfortable chairs, will definitely go back, a very relaxing experience!
