This place is one of the areas best kept secrets and shouldn't be, Fabulous Bar and Food, Great staff atmosphere and great value, well worth a visit when in the area, I understand that they have 6 or 7 rooms, take a look at their website as they look amazing

The Lion has had good media coverage, but we were distinctly disappointed. We arrived on foot, rather cold and wet, and we were simply shown to our room (outside, up some stairs in the rain), and left to get on with it. I can only describe our room (room 6) as rather poky. We stayed here as part of our walking trip across the Cotswolds. Warm welcome by the staff to all 4 of us, despite being wet and muddy, coming in from a long day. Both of our rooms were beautiful and a good size. We had dinner here as well which was excellent, as was their breakfast the next morning.
