When reading raving reviews about this place I have the feeling I stayed in a different inn or was just unlucky. I stayed here for one night during a walking week in the Cotswolds. I was really looking forward to my first Inn stay ever but left disappointed. The indifference from the staff didn't make me feel welcome and I... More

Thank you for your custom, and for taking the time to review The White Hart. I was obviously disappointed to hear your thoughts on my staff. We try to create a friendly, relaxed environment at The White Hart, but this is obviously not to everyone's liking. With regards to the "basic" room, we offer tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary... More

Having read posts reviewing this hotel, I could not help but notice some detrimental comments regarding the age and creakiness of the building. Of course it creaks and this is the beauty of it. If you want pure white sterility and automatons as staff go and stay in a multi chain hotel! If, however , you appreciate a beautiful building... More

Spacious bedroom, slightly tired bathroom. BUT wonderfully friendly staff, great menu with daily fresh fish, local sausages, and generally super food cooked by a clearly talented chef. Nice central position in the town with parking at rear. Appears to be a popular venue for local people, which is always a good sign. Good location for the highlights of the Cotswolds.

Popped in for lunch on Saturday and sat outside in the rear area enjoying the sunshine. Very good menu choice from which we sampled a variety of the "speciality sausages" (from which the pork and black pudding was a favourite. Excellent service and London Pride on draught, which although not very local, is always a winner! Very nice all round.

Thank you for your lovely review. I was pleased to hear you enjoyed our 'famous' sausages, and your pint of London Pride. Next time you visit, you should try the left hand pump (as you look at the bar) as this one always has a Goffs beer on - this is actually brewed in Winchcombe. We hope to see you... More

We were staying in the local area. Family joined us for lunch at The White Hart. The staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. They are a pet friendly inn and our Border Collie gives it a paws up. Food was great, well presented and delicious.

Stayed in the ramblers rooms with a group while walking wynchcombe way. Expected hostel style accommodation. How wrong i was. Lovely rooms modern bathroom (we knew it was shared) tasteful decor. Great food friendly staff and nothing seemed too much trouble. Am planning a return visit!

We went here for an evening meal on our walk of the Cotswold Way. It is in the centre of Winchcombe which is good if you are walking though there is a small car park behind approached by a side road. When we arrived the restaurant was full and the pub was buzzing but we were able to find a... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights in a Superior double room and generally found that the accommodation was not up to modern day standards. The room furniture and decor was tired. The curtains required replacement and the exterior window ledge was in a poor state. The bed linen was fresh and clean. No soap or shampoo etc was... More

Thank you for your feedback. You will be pleased to hear that we are just about to start the next phase of our refurbishment programme. Don't normally write reviews, but felt compelled on this occasion. The pub itself is welcoming and friendly with a good range of beers, ciders etc. The wine list is excellent. Our room was clean but in need of modernisation although I think the whole place is in the process of being renovated. We were only here two nights and didn't... More

I wont beat about the bush we booked this offer with Travelzoo at a bargain price so I did not expect 5 star treatment and accommodation. What I found was the check in process was swift, polite and within a matter of minutes we were in our allocated room, which was Room 3 overlooking the High Street. The room was... More
