Friendly with good service, good shared bathroom, great breakfasts. Good basic accommodation if you need a place to crash out. No frills but more affordable than other local options and close to path for cotswolds way. Good view from ramblers room.

We walked 12 miles on the Costswold Way arriving wet from the rain to a welcoming, well situated Inn, with wall heaters to dry our clothes and a great bath tub. After resting, we went downstairs to a terrific neighborly pub and had a extremely well prepared dinner. The breakfast was great too. Winchcombe is a lovely town with nice... More

Walking in the Cotswolds and we were booked in as part of a package. The bar was typical old pub, with ;lots of eating areas, including large outside area. We had the cheeses with drinks and really very little for the ten pounds but the beer was good and staff friendly. Room was very old but well presented and clean,... More

We had booked a B&B with the same name as another, and found ourselves very late one afternoon after a long road trip at the wrong B&B in Stanton, Cotwolds. The owner thought she had double booked us and promptly went about calling as many local places as she could to find us a bed for the night. "You'll be... More

Booked in here this week after looking it up on late rooms. I cannot fault the front of house staff as they are all warm friendly and helpful. The food both at dinner and breakfast was excellent. I appreciate this is a very old building and with it comes little sound insulation so there is traffic noise from outside and... More

I stayed here for 2 nights while on a walking tour of the Cotswolds. Winchcombe is a darling village and this Inn is right smack in the centre of it. The staff were courteous and friendly although not overly warm or helpful. The Inn and the rooms are very old and show their age but as others have written this... More

Stayed recently while visiting a friend in nearby Broadway . Although booking and paying for a 'rambler room' I was given the 'Castle Room ' which was enormous with ensuite facilities , light and airy with a massive comfortable bed . I stay solo and always feel comfortable and welcome. Evening meal whilst armed with my kindle is great, locals... More

When reading raving reviews about this place I have the feeling I stayed in a different inn or was just unlucky. I stayed here for one night during a walking week in the Cotswolds. I was really looking forward to my first Inn stay ever but left disappointed. The indifference from the staff didn't make me feel welcome and I... More

Thank you for your custom, and for taking the time to review The White Hart. I was obviously disappointed to hear your thoughts on my staff. We try to create a friendly, relaxed environment at The White Hart, but this is obviously not to everyone's liking. With regards to the "basic" room, we offer tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary... More

Having read posts reviewing this hotel, I could not help but notice some detrimental comments regarding the age and creakiness of the building. Of course it creaks and this is the beauty of it. If you want pure white sterility and automatons as staff go and stay in a multi chain hotel! If, however , you appreciate a beautiful building... More

Spacious bedroom, slightly tired bathroom. BUT wonderfully friendly staff, great menu with daily fresh fish, local sausages, and generally super food cooked by a clearly talented chef. Nice central position in the town with parking at rear. Appears to be a popular venue for local people, which is always a good sign. Good location for the highlights of the Cotswolds.
