I wanted to go somewhere special for our anniversary weekend and settle upon Lords of the Manor. I visited Sunday 30th March, and got very lucky with the weather. On a glorious day you'll be hard pushed to find anywhere better! We arrived ahead of check-in time, warmly greeted by the staff who unpacked our luggage to store and drove... More

We had a wonderful night here and could not fault it. We were upgraded to the best room and had a lovely view of the grounds and a quiet and very comfortable night. The service lifts this place up to the level of the best hotels. Complimentary champagne with the canapés, the greeting when we arrived, fresh milk brought immediately... More

Back here again again a long time, it was once owned by a dear friend and the grounds and staff are still very good. I founds the standards had dropped somewhat in the house, not as pristine as in previous visits and perhaps a refurb is planned ? It needs it is many places. If you expect 5 star sorry... More

This is the second time I have stayed with my wife and one of many meals we have enjoyed in the bar or restaurant. I have stayed in many hotels in the UK and overseas during my business career and although I am now retired, this is probably the best for location, quality of service and food. Never miss the... Almost before turning the car ignition off, someone appeared and took my luggage to the room, while a colleague parked my car. Immediately we felt welcome and looked after. This attention to every little detail made the stay very enjoyable. We had booked this hotel because it had a Michelin Star Restaurant and were not disappointed. I prefer "proper cooking" but... More

We stayed with friends last week. Lovely location, excellent service and a fantastic evening meal. The room was too warm overnight and it was difficult to have a shower without getting the bathroom soaked. The breakfast was disappointing, probably the more so because the dinner had been so good.

My wife and I treated ourselves to a birthday celebration - overnight stay and dinner. The whole experience was excellent, particularly the food. Another bonus is no music anywhere in the public rooms.

We came to Lords of the Manor after an awful experience at another hotel the previous two days and it was a perfect antidote. The staff were very keen to please and nothing was too much bother. the setting, room and dinner were of an equally high standard. A couple of hiccups were probably the result of us being there... We stayed overnight in a superior room and ate in the restaurant having selected the market menu. We were contacted a week prior to our arrival to re confirm the details of our stay which was a nice touch and our welcome at the hotel was efficient and friendly . Our room was pleasant not overly large and facing the... More
