We stayed here for one night on a deal which included bed and breakfast and a five course tasting menu. When you arrive at the hotel you are met by a beautiful old country house and as you enter the building, you can see that they have kept a lot of its original features which is great. The staff on... We stayed just one night in this hotel on a deal that included a five course tasting menu and breakfast. The check-in was dealt with in a friendly, efficient way and we were quickly shown to our room after some information on where to find the bar and restaurant. Our room was a good size and very clean. The bathroom... More

Our room was small, but comfortable and well-appointed. The bath was up-to-date and lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were outstandingly beautiful and led to the public footpath to Lower Slaughter. Breakfast was a lovely full English breakfast with attentive servers. This manor house is in a nice location to use as a base while touring... More

Lords of the Manor is a quintessential Cotswold manor house and the hotel mostly lives up to this character. As we parked to drop off luggage we were immediately greeted and helped, and the car whisked away to a separate parking area. Our room was in what must be a more recent extension, albeit in conventional style. I found it... More

We first saw the Lords of the Manor in 1983. This past May, we had the opportunity to stop in on our last day in England. We were served lunch in the library. It was quiet at the hotel, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We fell in love (again) with the Slaughters, and will definitely return to that... More

WE had tea on the lawn (again) with old friends (of 45 year's duration) in absolutely perfect weather; we walked to Lower Slaughter; we admired the brilliant (newly expanded) gardens; we dined on exquisite food, and we had an immense view out of our commodious bay window, including the sheep on the far hill who finally showed up. Utter quiet... More

We had a pleasant stay at LOM. It's a little out of the way but in a quiet residential village central to many Cotswold villages. The room was large and comfortable too, although the shower recess quite small. It's probably close to needing an upgrade of carpets, furnishings, etc though. We felt a bit pushed into dining in the restaurant...almost... More

We discovered Lords about 4 years ago whilst out for a Sunday drive seeking a nice place for lunch. We stopped, had a lovely meal and went on our way full of praise for the experience. Then a couple of years ago we saw a special offer on Secret Escapes and decided to 'do' the DBB at half price !! Well,... More

This is the place to go for the top treatment. You hand in your car keys and they park your car. Very quiet and there are beautiful gardens. The dining room is tasteful and lovely because of subdued lighting. Breakfast in bed is available and even your shoes can be cleaned if you put them outside your bedroom door. They... More

Perfect manor house getaway, even though it was just for a night. Would definitely go back. Staff were lovely, room was amazing - especially the bathroom, dinner and breakfast were divine. They left elderflower presse for us in the room and brought our morning coffee to the room. Everything was just lovely.
