We recently had an overnight stay which included a five course tasting menu and breakfast. Our first impressions were good, very professional, great service, friendly faces, we were showed to our room 'Churchill' by a very pleasant gentlemen who explained all the necessities, at this point we were slightly disappointed as the room seemed a little tired and shabby in... We stayed for one night at the Lords of the Manor, but we know the Cotswolds well. Upper and Lower Slaughter are beautiful villages which attract many tourists, but this does not affect this hotel, which has extensive grounds down to the river on the South and an interesting garden, including a variety of fruit trees, on the other side.... My wife and I took advantage of a 1 night dinner, bed & breakfast offer. Every aspect of our stay at this hotel met or exceeded our expectations. We found all of the staff that we encountered to be courteous, helpful and professional, striving and succeeding in providing excellent customer service. We were taken to our room 'Bledington' and shown... More

We had a truly memorable stay. The accomodation, food & staff exceptional. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff that showed us to our room. Our room was beautiful, very quaint with a lovely antique French bed. We had dinner in the Michelin star restaurant. The staff being so friendly & helpful. In fact we had a local... More

My husband and I were charmed every minute of our stay. Our room overlooked the front garden. The bed and room were extremely comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. On our first night, as we headed out to Lower Slaughter, the receptionist insisted that we take a giant torch to help us get back safely.... More

We have just returned from a lovely day and evening at this hotel. The service was impeccable albeit a little stuffy and sterile at times. The room we stayed in was lovely and really comfortable, (think it was the Worlsley). In the evening we indulged in the five course tasting menu which was beautifully presented and carefully cooked. The bread... More

We booked a weekend at Lords of the Manor with dinner in the restaurant both nights included in the rate, which worked out to be a good deal. Our welcome was very friendly and inviting and the staff were always very welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was an upgrade from the smallest room, though it was still fairly small.... More

So I'll start with the fact this used to be OUR favourite hotel in the world. That is a pretty high accolade but the combination of peace, charm and quality were just something that you struggle to find anywhere else in the world. Now I'd probably not go back again. The hotel is faded and lacking in service and atmosphere... More

The Coteswolds has, for may years, attracted people to enjoy the pretty villages, wonderful vistas and, not surprisingly, good quality hotels. Lords of the Manor is not the largest, a plus point, the best facilitated, not paying for things one doesn't use, but the freindlyness and attentiveness of the staff really does shine through. There will be those that will... More

On Saturday July 26th 2014 3pm ..this hotel turned 6 adults and 2 small children (one 4 years old and one 4 months old) away when we asked to be seated in the garden to have some cold drinks. We were told they only took parties with reservations. There was three large tables available outside and the dining room had... More

I am pleased I have had a chance to communicate directly with you and sorry we did not accommodate you. I look forward to restoring our laurels and would encourage others if you have an opportunity to make an advance booking please do so, sometimes we get rather popular. Kind regards Paul More
