Made a reservation and visited the hotel prior to start date. A lovely old property with great charm BUT then found that it had a very poor food hygiene rating from the Council. Only 2 out of 5 which is not at all good. As a result, they switched our reservation without problem to another hotel in the Group -... More

Stayed here overnight whilst seeing a concert at Westonbirt Arboretum. Picturesque, comfortable and lovely breakfast. Hotel was full so service at breakfast was a bit slow but otherwise no negative comments.

I suppose you might call this a country house hotel. It certainly has a lovely feel to its public areas and our bedroom was very comfortable. Though we were in a small block of four rooms quite close to the main road, we weren't disturbed at night by traffic noise. The room was well appointed with two quite comfy armchairs,... More

We stopped here for a drink and it was ok. Conveniently located next to Westonbirt Arbouretum this hotel is typically Cotswolds. A good range of reasonable value drinks but when we were there the servuce was very unfriendly.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that the service in the bar seemed unfriendly. Your comment will be passed on to the staff who are actually all very pleasant people, but perhaps don't always remember that they need to be much more 'smiley' and proactive, especially when busy. More

We have stayed here twice the last two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed both. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The accommodation and food were excellent and my husband was able to get around quite easily on his mobility scooter.

Kids at the grans- the other half finishing work at 4 pm. A perfect weekend ahead :-) Just needed somewhere to stay. After checking some specialised offpeakluxury websites I came across this fantastic hotel. Upon checking in we were immediately upgraded to a better room at no extra charge and wow!!. We visited this hotel for our wedding anniversary and were very pleased with our room and all the amenities. There was a wedding reception taking place but this did not interfere with our stay as the staff had allocated us with a quiet room as requested. The restaurant was very comfortable and the food excellent. Very convenient for Westonbirt Arboretum... More

We arrived for a 3 night stay at the end of Badminton Horse Trials, so the hotel was, initially, very busy. However, we were given a lovely room in one of the annexes, with a super king bed, which I had requested. The room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We ate in the bar, and the food was fairly... More

I am very pleased that you enjoyed our lovely Cotswold hotel and gardens. We love Breakfast, it is sometimes the only meal a guest takes with us , so we try to keep it fresh, interesting and really great quality. We are lucky enough to have a lovely Breakfast chef who delights in making home made muesli and a variety... More
