After a five-hour journey down our abysmal motorway system on a Sunday evening from West Yorks with snow and horizontal rain all the way, I arrived at the Old Lodge to a very pleasant welcome. I was shown to my room rather than just given a key, then received prompt and friendly service at the bar for food and drink... More

I visited the pub recently and was served by a lady called Louise. I want to thank her for going the 'extra mile' she went to make mine and my husbands wedding annerversary so special. 'Thank you' to all staff especially Louise!

We stayed here for one night as a weekend getaway and very much enjoyed our stay. The pub is in a beautiful location right on Minchinhampton common and is perfect for walks and getting away from it all. We paid for a superior room and were pleased with the quality of facilities - charming, good-size room with exposed beams and... More

This hotel had a fabulous restaurant. Top marks for the food, service and staff. We were made to feel very welcome however I have to say the bedroom we had was very disappointing. It was small for a double room and if I'm honest a bit shabby. We had a great evening meal and the breakfast was excellent. Just disappointed... More

We stayed here for one night. The young lady who checked us in was very helpful, our room was spotless and even had a 4 poster bed. The breakfast was great and there was plenty of it. Our only regret was that we only stayed one night next time we will definitely stay longer.

Visited a few weeks back and loved every moment of our stay. The pub is situated in such a beautiful location where you can walk for miles with incredible views of the Cotswolds, then to come back and sit infront of the fire with a glass of wine was just perfect. The room we stayed in was room 6 and... More

There are numerous eateries to choose from these days, but should you value the quality and taste of your food, combined with excellent service, then this place is definitely one you should try. The Old Lodge is a place I love returning to time and again and is the first choice of restaurant whenever I have friends and family in... More

This place is very cozy and bursting with character. We had a 'superior room' which was nice, although the bed was a bit small and low. The room was chilly when we arrived so Alexandrai, the front of house beauty, quickly sorted out the heating for us. The staff were relaxed and solicitous, and very flexible catering to our various... More

I stayed there for 1 night as I was working close by. The room was small but big enough for my needs, comfy bed, and plenty of tea/coffee making gear. The big gripe I had was the over priced food and lack of quality. I paid £13-95 for a burger and chips with lettuce. the menu said it was an... More

Just wanted to leave my thoughts on a recent stay at The Old Lodge. I was staying there on business and normally dread such weeks away - The Old Lodge was a totally new experience! The accommodation was great and the location perfect - worked from my laptop in the bar and in the breakfast room and was never asked... More
