Popped in on the off chance of dinner on a Saturday night. Superb. French Onion Soup and chicken liver pate to start, and 2 perfectly cooked steaks, with a thick peppercorn sauce for mains. If you're in Stow, this is the place to go.

A quaint pub in the heart of Stow. We both ordered a salt beef sandwich. We were warned that it was going to be pink, which is perfect... Pink? It looked like it hadn't even been cooked. It was so rare and difficult to eat. We should of returned but we didn't have time. I'd definitely come again though, the... More

Booked this last minute, a great find! Super location staff could not have been more accommodating. Much cheaper than the porch house which is overpriced for what they offer, rooms are lovely. A little gem!

My wife and I stayed for her birthday for just the one night (Thursday ) . We had room 11 which was above the front right at the top . The room was lopsided which is a great fun walking straight ahead whilst leaning to the left . Very clean and comfortable , breakfast was great if a little slow... More

Have just stayed for 2 nights for a long weekend. We stayed in Rm 5 (Denman) which was absolutely gorgeous, large and clean. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The spot is ideal as right in the centre of Stow and an excellent base for exploring. When we first arrived we had... There was mix up over the pot pies content, but staff acknowledged this and took 50% off. The pie I eventually had was lovely the chips were fabulous. Service was good as the waitress was rushed off of her feet.

Stayed here for two nights so that we could do some walking. Staff were very friendly and helpful, giving good local knowledge and tips. Rooms were good size, clean and well presented. Breakfast was comprehensive and very tasty. Location, being on the town square, was great. Only down side was the limited evening menu. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Only booked to use the resteraunt and whilst the surroundings were very pleasant the service was poor. We were told the the pot pie of the day was steak and mushroom and when it turned up it was chicken and mushroom. Drinks took an eternity to come and staff were more interested in serving their friends than anyone else.
