The Stow Lodge met our expectations for a comfortable retreat from which to explore the Cotswolds. The staff was top notch, especially Shirley who provided tremendous assistance and her son who worked in the dining room and bar. The grounds and garden were perfect and beautiful. The rooms were clean and spacious. We were very pleased overall, but fans in... More

This hotel is located just off the main square in Stow on the Wold. Food is excellent, staff are very helpful and gardens are magnificent. The rooms are very comfortable and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a base from which to tour the Cotswolds.

Sadly can't report on the Hotel or accommodation but if it is anything like the staff who served us lunch and coffee it will be very good. They squeezed us in when had finished serving which was good of them and the garden was lovely and peaceful a stones throw from the manic Stow square. Lovely building, excellent staff, picturesque... A really lovely period building with beautiful gardens located just off the main square. We found the staff to be most helpful and friendly and the service we got was second to none. Our room in the annex was large well furnished with plenty of storage and all the usual provisions. A nice comfy bed and the bathroom had a... More

At a time when hotels are chain-owned and boringly similar this family owned and old-fashioned hotel is lovely. It was our second visit and we stayed for 5 nights. The hotel is staffed by locals, not people from other countries or students working their way round the world. As in days of yore, if you ask for something, they remember... More

Stayed 3 nights at the hotel to explore the Cotswolds. Location is excellent but a bit like the twilight zone after 7pm. Where did everyone go? Staff at hotel were amazingly friendly (Rob and Luke) and couldn't do enough for you in what was otherwise an average hotel (suggest they take out the carpet in the bathroom!). The church bells... Central to the Town and main roads. Comfortable, clean, quiet, helpful front desk, excellent breakfasts and charming property. Our room was in the separate two-story building. Heard about the Church bell nearby and yes it bongs all night but close the windows when you go to bed and the bell becomes mere background sound.

Wonderful hotel directly on the old town market square. Combines old English traditional feel and decor with comfortable beds, pub or restaurant eating, a generous and delicious breakfast, and very helpful staff. VERY helpful staff, one of whom drove to Morten-in-Marsh to pick us up from the train station when there was no cab available and we missed the bus... More

We have stayed here many times and were more than happy to spend two nights here for our honeymoon. We had a lovely 4 poster overlooking the Church and have always found the food to be first class. The staff are very professional and attentive. Its a warm welcoming place to be on a cold dark winters night. I am sure we... More
