Nice room, friendly staff, went for the weekend to see my wife's aunt. The hotel has its own restaurant, its wise to book at weekends especially during the summer months. Stow is very busy with tourists at that time of year. Loved staying at the hotel made a nice break.

Our regular Hotel for this annual event was fully booked so our Hosts booked a number of the more flexible delegates into ‘The Grapevine’ in the centre of Stow -on-the Wold, and this was a great success. This is a great location for local shopping, and boasts a selection of friendly Pubs and restaurants that added yet another dimension to... More

booked via booking.com, on arrival booked in and taken to room 14 which did overlook the kitchen, room was tastefully decorated and bathroom well appointed, but on closer inspection was very dusty and in need of a light clean, as we paid £165 would have expected this to have been checked prior to arrival. Booked a table in hotels restaurant... More

This newly refurbished hotel still boasts the 160 year old grapevine in the cheerful dining room. Redecorating has not diminished the ancient fabric of the inn but the mod cons are top notch. It is perfectly situated in the heart of Stow so park the car and wander contentedly among the charming shops. One pleasant surprize was the excellent personal-sized... More

We stayed overnight at the grapevine. It was our anniversary and to their credit, we were upgraded for nothing, which was a lovely gesture. But the room was a little tired and in my opinion needs a bit of a refresh. The staff were loveley, hardworking and you couldn't fault their attitude and commitment. The food was excellent, reasonably priced... More

We booked this hotel for a couple of nights at short notice. One of only a few hotels which still had rooms available, so were not expecting anything great. Much to our pleasant surprise this was a lovely hotel in a great location. We were allocated Room 24 at the back of the hotel. This was a large well furnished... More

Rode my motorcycle up from Cornwall and headed to Stow on the Wold... it was hideous weather! Cold rain all day and no way was I putting my tent up.... pulled up at the Grapevine and the welcome was as hot as the red hot bathwater, wonderful! Gone are the days when bikers were shunned. I knew it might be... More

We noticed this hotel whilst shopping in the area and were impressed with the menu displayed on the outside wall so booked a table for that evening. After waiting for about 5 minutes at reception (together with a guest of the hotel who was waiting for service), we decided to set off to find the restaurant ourselves and we were... More

I cannot emphasis how wonderful this hotel is. I cannot find anything to fault it. The room and facilities provided in the room were outstanding; breakfast was excellent and we chose to have dinner at the hotel one evening and that was top-notch. The staff cannot be faulted - polite, attentive, helpful - quite a breath of fresh air.The manager... More

We were at the Grapevine a week ago with family and enjoyed it so much we stayed again yesterday on the way home. This time we ate in the hotel restaurant and my goodness what a lovely meal at a very reasonable price. A friendly welcome, good food and a beautiful room. Well done to everyone at the Grapevine for... More
