We stayed three nights in the Medieval Garden room. It was perfect for us, a couple with adult daughter. The extra bed is in a "nook" with curtains that closed. We had a great view of the church steeple from the window. The room was large after being in London. The bath was large and modern. Breakfast was outstanding and... More

Having being gifted a voucher for a two day break we chose Painswick and were looking forward to staying at this property after reading the reviews on tripadvisor. We stayed in Room 6 this was directly below room 7,which was an attic room (every sound could be heard form the above room), these were the cheaper of the rooms on... More

Very nice hotel four poster bed but quite uncomfortable mattress. Had a meal adjoined to the hotel which was good. Pub next door was very nice and did food which looked reasonably priced. On the whole good

Just returned from a weekend break in this lovely, and well placed, village in the Cotswolds. We stayed at Cardynham house, an excellent choice in the heart of the village. Quaint but well appointed rooms, service throughout our weekend was excellent. Whatever you do, don't miss breakfast, it's fantastic. Staff are a credit to their profession. Our thanks to the... This place is a complete contradiction. It is a beautiful building with very quaint rooms, but it is filthy! The man who I made the booking with sounded very upper class English, however we were greeted by a Romanian couple who had quite a limited grasp of the English language. On arriving in the room, I felt a bit sick... More

I have taken a few days to calm down in my response to this offensive and prejudiced review. In the first place I am not “very upper class” but a rather down to earth New Zealander with a strong accent. Our chef and his wife are Romanian and their English is not perfect but good and clear as you might... More

Very comfortable night in a delightful 4 poster room as most of the rooms are at this excellent B&b. The breakfast was awesome, I didn't eat again until 7pm! Highly recommend to stay here. Room 1 will sleep 3 people and is at the front of the property but we didn't find it noisy.

Second time we have stayed here and it was even better this time. Helpful friendly staff. Stayed in "dovecote". The room was huge and so lovely. The bed was comfy and tge whole stay was really peaceful and relaxing, I hope we will be able to stay again soon.

We have just come back from this very quaint guest house. The room was excellent, the breakfast was extremely good and the breakfast staff were excellent. The Bistro was superb and the Chef and his wife were brilliant. We would not hesitate in staying there again. Jean & Tom from Essex.
