We found it a mixed bag really ! the building itself is quaint and the staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed one night and it was nice. The room was spacious and very clean. The pool was lovely and warm. It is also really private but be warned it is a short walk out throught two doors along a short outside walk way and then you reach the pool and courtyard. In summer it would be amazing but we... I stayed with my husband at this lovely B&B for two nights. We used a Buy a Gift voucher and after reading the feedback from a lady in October we were a bit dubious about what we would find. As soon as we arrived all of our fears were squashed straight away. We were greeted by a lovely couple and... More

We stayed in this beautiful period house between Christmas & New Year. The service was very friendly and the rooms attractive, warm and comfortable. The close proximity of the different parts of the house meant that we were able to book two separate rooms for our family without feeling remote from each other. Breakfast was well prepared and served in... More

We stayed three nights in the Medieval Garden room. It was perfect for us, a couple with adult daughter. The extra bed is in a "nook" with curtains that closed. We had a great view of the church steeple from the window. The room was large after being in London. The bath was large and modern. Breakfast was outstanding and... More

Having being gifted a voucher for a two day break we chose Painswick and were looking forward to staying at this property after reading the reviews on tripadvisor. We stayed in Room 6 this was directly below room 7,which was an attic room (every sound could be heard form the above room), these were the cheaper of the rooms on... More

Very nice hotel four poster bed but quite uncomfortable mattress. Had a meal adjoined to the hotel which was good. Pub next door was very nice and did food which looked reasonably priced. On the whole good

Just returned from a weekend break in this lovely, and well placed, village in the Cotswolds. We stayed at Cardynham house, an excellent choice in the heart of the village. Quaint but well appointed rooms, service throughout our weekend was excellent. Whatever you do, don't miss breakfast, it's fantastic. Staff are a credit to their profession. Our thanks to the...
