Having enjoyed a fabulous Valentine's weekend at the Horse & Groom last year, we decided to tempt fate and do it again. What a good decision. The world outside may have seen seismic changes during the intervening months, but the H&G has remained untouched. Same delightful accommodation, same fab food and same warm welcome. Please keep it like that. more

My wife and I stayed at the Horse and Groom for two nights during a tour of the Cotswolds. It's actually in Bourton-on-the-Hill, which is a charming and very picturesque village, but there is truly nothing there except for the H&G and a gas station just up the road. Our stay was very nice and we had no real problems.... more

What a incredible place to stay. I have stayed in some wonderful hotels over the years and this is up there with the best. Friendly staff, beautiful location and lovely food. The menu changed daily so a two night leisure break (dinner, bed and breakfast) was great as you didn't have to pick from the same menu as the previous... more

Really great pub with rooms. Amazing food and helpful, laid back staff. The best place we stayed in our visit to the Cotswolds. The room was large, clean and well decorated (if slightly eclectic!) The owners and staff really go that extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. Wonderful fresh vegetables from their garden and freshly laid eggs from their... more

Luckily we managed to secure a Saturday night only booking at the B & B as usually you have to book 2 nights over the weekend. We got the last room which was the cheapest at £100 a night. We have stayed in many B & B's over the past couple of years and this is by far the best... more

My husband and I spent a weekend here for his birthday and it was the perfect getaway from hectic city life! The staff were friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and the accommodation was great. We stayed in the Deluxe Room which had a massive bed, lovely bathroom and a contemporary feel. Although it was at the front on the road we... more

A great pub and a great experience! Really warm welcome from the owners who obviously really care about the place. As we were the only guests we were upgraded to the garden room free of charge which was a really nice touch. Rooms were lovely and very comfy - very nice bathroom. Complimentary biscuits were absolutely delicious! The pub retains... more

If you are looking for a very comfortable, friendly, spotlessly clean, unpretentious, reasonably priced and 'contemporary' pub to serve as your base in the Cotswolds, you've found it! The rooms are large and extremely comfortable, bathrooms are warm, spacious and scrupulously clean (I can vouch for 3 different rooms), the food is imaginative and very fresh (vegetables from the garden... more

We wanted a night away midweek for a decent meal and a comfortable modern place to stay. We weren't disappointed. The rooms have been lovingly done and are modern but stylish. The only thing we might have wanted was at room at the back as the road is quite nosiy. The food was great and Tom the owner was attentive... more

We spent a birthday weekend at the Horse & Groom on their dinner, bed & breakfast offer. Our room was very individual and spotless; we even had fresh farm milk delivered to our door daily! Dining at the Horse & Groom was a pleasure, from the home cooked breakfast to our evening meal. The staff were very friendly but also... more
