We stayed here for one night and we were allocated a room in the 'cottage'. It was clean and the bed was ok but the room was a little short on finishing touches. No hairdryer, no tea/coffee tray, and the shower (we knew there wasn't a bath) was of the 1970's variety where only 25% of you is ever wet... more

A last minute night away turned to out to be a delightful long weekend. Set in the heart of the Cotswold and is therefore conveinent to all those lovely Cotswold town and villages. Wonderful food attentive service and a good selection of traditional and local ales. The host also knows a thing or two about excellent wines which have been... more

We called in here for lunch on the way back home, having found the pub listed in our Michelin guide. It has its own web site with nice (and from what we've seen, representative) photographs, together with sample menus and lots of other information. See http://www.horseandgroom.uk.com/ . The place is clearly popular for lunch (in this case Sunday) and we... more

We stayed here 2 nights over the Aug Bank Holiday 2008. We had a standard room with shower above the bar area (some of the rooms are in a separate cottage next door). This was our first time staying in the Cotwolds and we would definitely return to the area, although we thought the H&G itself was an average inn... more

A charming pub B&B... Travelling with another couple, we stayed at the Horse and Groom for two nights after we were referred by the owner of a nearby B&B when we couldn't stay there longer (it was already reserved for the next two nights when we made a spontaneous departure early from London for the three nights left in the... more

Have just spent a weekend at this inn as a midway meeting point with a friend who lives on the other side of the country to me. Host/owner SImon couldn't be more welcoming and was a very genial and attentive figure throughout your stay. It was his presence in fact that made our stay a pleasant one - the rooms... more

Beware of this inn. We tried to stay there on the weekend of the floods. We spent 6 hours trying to get to Oddington and finally had to give up. On the second night we sought advice from some lovely ladies at the Warwick Tourist Information Centre. With up-to-date news of flooding they advised us not to go, as the... more

Our friends and ourselves have just spent a night at the Horse and Groom in Oddington and it was wonderful. The ambience was perfect, atmosphere very friendly and food gorgeous. The rooms are tiny but spotlessly clean. The staff are extemely helpful and friendly. Dinner was really lovely, accompanied by some very nice wine. Breakfast was equally lovely, made with... more

This inn is in a small village called Upper Oddington. My husband and I booked a room at the last minute and we are very glad we did! The room was lovely (very simple and smallish, but clean and the bed was very comfy!)... The food is probably the reason this inn gets so busy.. It was fantastic - three... more
