We booked this for our wedding anniversary as somewhere different to try for an evening meal. We have eaten here before several times but out in the garden and food has always been lovely. We had lovely evening meal here, was very delicious, all three course, we both tried something different and every course was lovely. My husband loved the... More

We stayed at The Corinium Hotel in Cirencester for a friends wedding in Bibury. While most of our friends stayed at the nearby Travel Lodge, we on the other hand wanted a local place to stay with charm and character. The Corinium certainly did not disappoint on this regard. We arrived earlier than anticipated and much earlier than the designated... More

—stayed two nights in May— We mainly chose the Corinium because it's close the centre of town - where we were attending a wedding - but had a car park. We were pleasantly surprised by the environment of the hotel - full of character and not blandified, unlike so many older properties. We stayed in room 10, first at the... More

Many thanks for your review and I was pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us overall and particularly the kippers – one of my favourites too. Although you found the waiting staff friendly, I am sorry about the not so friendly welcome and whilst it was very busy on the day you arrived that is no excuse and I... More

Based on photos and testimonials, I had high hopes but the Corinium let me down with a thump. The green space in the back, the large parking lot, with the quiet location fairly close to town centre, are the three things that the hotel has to offer. The rest is mediocrity at best, awful and dangerous at worst. The property... More

I was naturally sorry that we did not meet your high expectations during your stay, but was also shocked that you found our customer service so bad. As you rightly noted the majority of reviews comment favourably on our friendly service and indeed the hotel recently won the Cirencester business award for customer service. I have discussed your review with... More

I have mixed feelings about this hotel...so i am not going to say i disliked it but i am also not going to say i loved it. My boyfriend and i stayed for 2 nights....we asked for a quiet room and were allocated a room on a high floor which was very very quiet. You have to walk up some... More

Many thanks for your review and I was pleased to read that you would stay with us again, despite the uneven floors and low door frames. It was also good to note, following the previous review, that you agree the hotel is indeed safe. I wish that we had been able to make your bed more comfortable as we do... More

An average hotel, but three things make it one to avoid. Steep narrow stairs to my room would be impossible for the less able. There are beams across the bathroom that are quaint, but they are at head height. Ouch! However, the real worry was the lack of escape route had there been a fire. In the end I put... More

Given your obvious worry over the lack of a fire exit in your room, I was very disappointed that you did not bring your concern to our attention during your stay, in order that we could try to allocate you another room and alleviate your unease. Any less able guests can actually occupy our two ground floor rooms or one... More

I booked a table for five on Saturday 12th April and to our delight we had a superb meal, well looked after by the staff and all in a lovely clean charming dinning room. The lounge bar area was comfortable and relaxing what a gem of a place. Well done, we shall be back.

Stayed here overnight which was perfect as longer may have proved more challenging because the rooms are small and dated. However, our room was spotlessly clean and adequate for one night. The Highlight was the Staff and the Breakfast both exemplary and the best Breakfast we have enjoyed in a Hotel for years. Served with a smile nothing too much... More

Many thanks for your review and we were very pleased that you enjoyed our food and service. Whilst we certainly have a few smaller rooms, we do also have larger ones as well. Without knowing which room you occupied, the majority of our rooms have actually been refurbished with a more stylish look over the past year or so. However,... More

First of all i must say that the owner/manager of this hotel was extremely pleasant and tried to be as helpful as he could. Arrived yesterday afternoon but what a disappointment. I was obviously very sorry that we did not meet your expectations and that you decided to travel home in the end, although you might recall that I did offer to source alternative suitable accommodation for you in the area. As I mentioned at the time we were initially at fault in not allocating you one of our larger doubles... More
