When my husband and I visit Cirencester we always stay at Aplsey House. It is always very clean and the owners Bob and Natalie are always very welcoming. All the rooms are en-suite, you have to order breakfast on arrival but that is only because Bob can have it ready for when you come down to breakfast, which is a... More

Totally agree with Mark D's comments earlier in the month. I needed a place to stay overnight in Cirencester are was recommended to Aspley Villa by another guest house owner who was full last night. I arrived and was met by Robert Nash, the owner, who explained everything and gave me the key to Room 2 on the first floor.... More

A warm welcome, clean comfortable well equipped room, always worry about my car however the secure parking removed this concern.Town is only a few minutes walk and the host gave us some great recommendations.Returned to a peaceful warm room, both enjoyed a good nights sleep. The en suite was clean and more than adequate. My favourite meal of the day is a good breakfast and... In a convenient location for town, this would have at least been a quiet stay, but for the guest above us snoring loudly. Drab, pokey, cramped and smelly, with a dirty little 'shower', the experience was crowned by an awful breakfast of what appeared to be powdered scrambled eggs served among plastic flowers and dusty knick-knacks. Tired? It was worn... More

This little guest house in Cirencester was the perfect location for our three day wander through the Cotswolds. Bob and Natalie, our hosts, made us feel very welcome. The room was 'homey' and comfortable and for the price we thought it good value. We had been traveling for nearly 1 month and I was over the cold indifference of various... More

Had a very enjoyable stay with my husband and young children. Our needs to always catered for and we were made to feel very welcome at all times. The off road secured parking was brillaint as our car was in a locked compound.over night. The bed was so comfy and breakfast topped all breakfasts! it was superb. I would highly... More

I don't know where the previous two people have stated, but it obviously wasn't at Apsley Villa. Staying with a large wedding party, we were made to feel very welcome by our hosts. We had booked five rooms of the seven rooms, so unless we were lucky enough to not have one of the 'tired' rooms spoken about previously, which... More

Cold, dark, not aired even though we were expected-and apparently the only guests at that time-we now know why. Asked to decide on next days breakfast before even saw room. Sad depressed room(I dont know which one features on web page but obviously not for the likes of us to use!!) On declining to stay night payment was demanded for that night... More

Tired and run down- people were pleasant and helpful - but although inexpensive - you will find better! A small depressing room - the control for the shower switch was held together with gaffer tape- lots of small paper notes attached to various appliances reminding one of the rules - very irritating. Sad to have to leave a review like... More
