I have visited the New Inn many times over the years for drinks but i had never eaten here. It is for everyone; when we bring the kids there is the garden and play area at the bottom, when we come by ourselves there is the charming bar area or outside patio. (i cant comment on the rooms as i... More

We booked through red letter days at a price of £99 for a tuesday night in may. On arrival we were showed to our very small not that clean and very dated room with cracks and light fittings coming away from the wall. For £99 I would have at least expected one of there mid range deluxe rooms?? After a... More

I am glad that you enjoyed a nice meal with us, but saddened that you found the room not to be to our normal standards - and I apologise for the heating issue which has since been dealt with. As for the state of the room, good housekeeping is an essential part of a successful hotel and I will take... More

Just returned from an overnight stay at the New Inn and the setting is beautiful. Very peaceful and picturesque. We chose to upgrade to a lovely room with roll top bath, huge bed etc all of which was very comfortable. However, for the price I was disappointed to see the tissue box by the bed was empty, there was a... More

Just returned fro a one night dinner bed and breakfast stay at the New Inn. Location is great and a very pretty village and easy to find. It is so quiet at night, almost silent!. Ducks and pheasants everywhere. Staff and service is very good and attentive. Evening meal was good, well cooked and attractively presented with prompt and accurate... More

This is a great setting in a lovely Cotswold village, and there were fantastic views out of the bedroom window across rolling fields. Unfortunately they seem to think that gives them the right to charge premium prices without providing a premium service. When we checked in, we were asked to pre-authorise £100 on our credit card to cover any "extras"... More

Easter Sunday lunch with husband and mother in law. It's been a while since I visited the New Inn and the have been obvious layout changes, primarily to create more dining space. Still a pretty pub/hotel in a gorgeous area. Set menu - £25 for 3 courses. Reasonable number of choices, well cooked and presented food. The only downside was... More

We have just returned from "a little bit of heaven"". We stayed at this lovely, old inn in the most fantastic surroundings. in the peace and slowness of the countryside. The food was top notch, staff very friendly and helpful, and our room was excellent. We have no complains whatever, and 2 days there felt we had escaped the ratrace for... More

Not difficult to find but it feels miles from anywhere. Wildlife is abundant around here. Beware suicidal pheasants sitting by the kerbside waiting to play "dare". Its what you expect of a Cotswold Inn I suppose, stone floored bar with comfy chairs. Decent beer and wine and a cosy restaurant with a fire. The bar is a bit small when... More

Just back from a short break at this hotel. Situated in a sleepy Cotswold stone village, amid beautiful countryside, if you need a complete break then this is the place. With no mobile phone signal you can truly get away from it all. Bed and room very comfortable, staff friendly and attentive, food excellent. We would definitely stay here again.... More
