I would highly recommend this hotel - we stayed in April and were really impressed. The hotel was quite busy but this did not phase the staff at all who made us feel very welcome, and were all friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, quiet with a huge shower and tastefully decorated. We ate in the hotel and the... More

It’s great to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us in April, and I’m pleased that you were made to feel so welcome and shown the hospitality we offer everyday. It’s also lovely to hear your comments on the food – I have to say the risotto is one of our favourites too! We look forward to welcoming you... More

Cirencester is the major town in The Cotswalds area. The Fleece, is an ancient hotel with a long history. The interior is currently being superbly refurbished. Most of the rooms have been completed, and our room in the Attic, was almost brand new and oh so comfortable. The young staff are friendly and eager to give tips on the best... More

Stayed at the Fleece for 5 weeks whilst on a course with work. Staff very friendly and helpful especially Rebecca, Vicky, Michaela and Kate, always smiling at breakfast time. Refurbishment gives the place a nice mixture of contemporary with oldy worldy, beds very comfortable. Only slight downside I found was 3 rooms were directly over the kitchen and overlooked the... Thank you for your lovely comments – I know the girls will be pleased to have been especially mentioned! We will review the issue with regards to noise again – because of the age of the building, we have limited soundproofing. This said, we should all be doing more to limit this, as it is a disturbance to our guests.... More

Stayed here many times in the past and it was run down and tired. Has been refurbished to a very good standard. My only gripe was the hotel reception being in the bar which I really don't like but wouldn't put me off staying again. Definitely back on the radar when in Cirencester

we stopped here for lunch, as the menu suited the varied tastes of our party - one vegetarian, one wasn't hungry, one was hungry, one wanted sunday roast etc etc - we all managed to order something different and everyone was happy with their choice! excellent creme brulee.

my husband and I stayed here for one night in march, the outside of the fleece looks like a normal pub but inside the decor was lovely. At the time the fleece was under refurbishment and it was evident that the bedrooms had been newly decorated to a very high standard. it certainly didn't matter the weather was poor as... More

After walking around cirencester for an hour or so we thought we would go to the bear pub but found it to be dirty and shabby so we walked back into town and spotted the fleece. What a pleasent place for a drink and some nibbles. Very friendly and helpful staff. The nibbles were very reasonabley priced and filling. Sorry... More

The fleece is a very nice hotel The care park is quite difficult to find it is not sign posted and is just a space at the back of the hotel which can sometimes be hidden by parked cars. That is not a moan, just information. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. The food was very nice, some of... More

My wife and I have eaten twice here, both very enjoyably, since the acquisition and during the refurbishment, the latter being now almost completed and limited mostly to external work.
