We were in room 9, one of the enhanced rooms - nicely decorated though appears that we were over the bar/dining area and so we had jazz music from the downstairs filtering up directly from below. It was a little like sleeping in an elevator. The noise from the hall also penetrated through the walls and was pretty disruptive. Our... More

I was travelling with my family so had specific room requirements. I telephoned the hotel and spoke to the manager and he confirmed that we could have the twin room which would be made into a Kingsize bed. I confirmed the booking twice by email before we arrived. Imagine my disappointment when we were told on arrival that our booking... More

Abridged: Still the best Fish and Chips in Cirencester by a country mile; and you can happily take your dog in too. Warts N All: I have reviewed this place before, but worth another pat on the back just on two levels. ( I do not do TA pat on the backs unless deserved as my other reviews will show).... More

I stayed at The Fleece for one night B&B on the 11th February with my wife. It had been quite some years that we had both stayed at The Fleece. The interior of the hotel has been tastefully updated in keeping with the character of the historic building. I was extremely pleased with the quality decor of the rooms and... More

Since they revamped The Fleece it's one of the places to eat and socialise in. The food is always top class and atmosphere relaxing. I've been several times and will definitely go again...and again! It's a great place to meet friends for a meal or just a drink. There is limited seating in the bar area but you can usually... More

Eat here one midweek evening, quite busy, but good service, good choice on menu and prices reasonable. Food was well presented, and we were looked after quite well. Wine not extortionate and a wide ranging choice.

My friend and I went here tonight for a girly catch up. Grabbed a table no problem, but then had to prompt the waitress (who came over swiftly to offer us drinks/menu) to wipe the, very obviously, dirty table for us. Had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner with 2 different burgers and pancakes for dessert. We were then relaxing and catching... More

We stayed at the Fleece with Friends for one night. It was very busy when we arrived and the checking in process was unorganised and we felt we were in the way as it was at the bar. The room we were in was number 12. It was comfortable and warm and clean. However this room is right above the... More

Had a midweek dinner here, second visit. The food is better than your average pub by a good measure. Has the benefits of draft ale, if, like me you like that kind of thing. Wine was reasonably priced and reasonable to drink too. Limited choice for my veggie wife but she enjoyed it and is happy to return. If you... More
