This is a review of the hotel. We didn't have an evening meal. Pros: Good location - right in the centre Popular - bar was buzzing Good beer Breakfast good - croissants, cooked etc., although juices not fresh. Pleasant staff Quaint building Fixed problem Cons: Parking a little way away and starts charging at 8:00am (except Sunday) Room was warm,... More

Stayed for 1 night on our way to Wales. Good quiet room apart from some idiots in the room next door coming back at 1.30am and proceeding to bang their door many times and talk very loudly for the next hour - not the hotel's fault. Why are some guests so inconsiderate of others?? Lovely well cooked evening meal. Good... More

Stayed here for one night having won an overnight stay in a raffle. The style of the hotel was very "olde worlde" & although having been recently refurbished, still managed to keep it's old charm. As you would expect from a very old building, the corridors to the bedrooms & the staircases are very narrow. The room we had was... More

My wife and I stayed at the Fleece for three nights from 19th August to celebrate my wife's birthday. We chose the Fleece because of the good reviews. Really I should have read the poor reviews more closely. The day we arrived was fine. Staff very attentive, realised a wrong room had been allocated so changed it to one with... More

Stayed at this hotel several times on business. On every occasion the staff are very welcoming. On my last visit enjoyed a lovely room at the front of the hotel. My only complaint could be it is a bit noisy early morning. Otherwise great. Really good breakfast.

Stayed 1 night after a wedding and was a bit disappointed! Worst thing was the air-con unit switching on and off right outside our window it wasn't even ours as we didn't have air-con and it woke us up lots during the night. Our daughters room was bigger and didn't back onto the flat roof like ours did and was... More

We frequently visit The Fleece, and usually find that it is okay, however, we have recently noticed that service, food etc has been going down hill and this came to a head on Saturday when we visited. We had the wrong drink served to us three times, we had ordered some bread which took over thirty minutes to arrive and... More

Having researched the hotels on Cirencester we decided to go for The Fleece....and we think we made the right choice. We were allocated room 4 which is huge...really comfy, two televisions...all the trappings of a 5* hotel. Can not thank the staff enough for their politeness, helpfulness and care. Would highly recommend a stay here...I'm thinking of going back again!

Lovely hotel with buckets of character right in the middle of town. Allowed us an early check-in without prior notice - Tim really went the extra mile for us. Comfy and clean room with everything we needed for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was great too - fresh croissants etc.

we stayed here several years ago and since then it has been refurbished. The old hotel was very quaint and although the rooms are now modern the place still retains some old world charm. I recomend it highly.
