Stayed 1 night at the Fleece, Cirencester recently. Easy to find as centrally located in Cirencester. Pleasant staff very helpful. Room was clean & well kept. TV did not have satellite channels. Room was not noisy at night but was above a courtyard which did get a little noisy in the afternoon with afternoon social conversation. Was a little concerned... more

Staff all friendly and welcoming. Higgledy piggledy layout with little flights of stairs going all over the place. Our room was at the back with comfortable bed, sheets and lovely soft blanket. Views over the courtyard which might be noisy in summer. Three steps down to the bathroom which had a bidet and a window. A bathroom with a window... more

Cirencester itself is beautiful and the Fleece Inn belnded well with the overall expereince. I stayed just one night on business and although the stairs were a bit steep and windy to reach the room, I slept well, ate well, chatted to the staff nicely and had a wonderful stay, I would definitley stay there again. You can feel the... more

the car park here is so small you will need to PAY for a car park down the road. You need to be up before 8am to pay for the morning car park as breakfast is 8-10 and you cannot pay to park overnight past 8am!! If you DO get into the 10 spaces in teh car park it is... more

This hotel is a real find--great location and nice rooms. If you're planning on staying in the Cotswolds, this town and hotel are excellent choices. The town is beautiful and is close to many shops, restaurants, public transit and especially the beautiful cathedral. Plan a visit to the Corinium Museum down the street. Take time in the afternoon to have... more

Stayed for two nights at the end of January to celebrate my partner's 40th birthday. The room was quite small and the trouser press did not work which was disappointing as we needed it. However, the room was very clean, the tea, coffee etc. was replinshed everyday, the water pressure in the shower was excellent and the water VERY hot.... more

Stayed on a Sunday night - not terribly busy. Room was fairly small but adequate - on-suite bathroom was bigger! Room decor was a bit out of date but this seemed to make it even more charming - though the bed wasn't the most comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good, the hot food was cooked with a personal touch - did... more

Stayed one night in Augst 2007 whilst attending horse trials nearby. The parking is tight (as mentioned elsewhere) but adequate. The room was okay but needed a lick of paint. Staff were friendly. Best bit was breakfast - cooked to order (as opposed to a buffet) and was excellent. It can be noisy (we were right over the town centre... more

We stayed here for a couple of nights over the Easter weekend and weren't disappointed. The hotel is located right in the heart of Cirencester which is a lovely village. Although the free hotel parking is limited to about 10 spaces - we found a space ok. Initial welcome was lacklustre but quick and we were soon in our rooms.... more

On the whole, I have the impression that this hotel seems to be moving in the right direction, but does have some room for improvement. All the staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel clean and welcoming. Bookings were handled professionally, and the reception staff have good local knowledge. Our room was large, with a separate dressing room and... more
