Arrived on Saturday lunchtime for a birthday meal. Plenty of choice of food and drink. Made to feel very welcome. Service value for money and excellent quality food mean that we will be back again. Would highly recommend this place to all. Recommend the steak and ale pie as well as the steaks.

We arrived a bit later than expected on Friday night to a busy pub. The welcome team were great, and immediately took us to our rooms. Dinner was great - hearty pub fare with lots of vegetarian options. And we all slept well too. Our server for breakfast was the same guy who'd worked tirelessly behind the bar the night... More

We stayed one night in a large room which was charming decorated. We had a very nice meal with local produced meat and vegetables. Full English Breakfast got us started the next morning. Friendly staff showed us the easy way to the Thames Source.

Me and my husband stayed at the Thames Head only a few weeks ago two nights. It is a lovely good old country pub that is welcoming to all! It is cosy inside and has recently been refurbished which looks Fab! (well done guys) The food was standard pub grub which is what we liked - good hearty meals. The... More

My husband and I along with our two 5 year old children stopped in for an evening meal without pre-booking. The restaurant/bar had a lovely atmosphere and the friendly staff made us feel very welcome. We will definitely eat here again.

Quiet location convenient for Kemble Train Station and Cirencester. Excellent breakfast and good food generally all locally sourced. Rooms have lots of character. Friendly staff. Very handy for Royal Ag Uni, although lots of walkers appear to stay here from experience. I would stay here again. No shops within walking distance.

We regularly call at this pub when travelling back to Leicestershire from the West Country. We've eaten at the Thames Head regularly over the past decade and the quality of the food has been consistent and very tasty. The young staff are friendly and welcoming and are a credit to the pub. Drinks prices can be rather on the high... More
