Popping in for a quick lunch with my daughter whilst shopping, and attracted by the board outside which advertised 2 for 1 Main Meals, we were pleasantly surprised. We both chose a chicken breast burger, which came in a nice sesame bun, along with onion rings and chips. Both meals for the princely sum of £6.95! Add drinks and we... More

The Black Horse provides a warm and friendly atmosphere from the minute you arrive. The rooms offer the same comforts at much less cost than the usual chains, the pub grub hits the spot after a long day and the bar staff always pleasant polite and willing to serve. Excelent value for money. All in all a very pleasant stay.... More

My husband and I went into Cirencester to look for a place to have an evening meal whist staying close by. We were very impressed by The Black Horse. They had a special offer on every evening if you wanted to take this up as well as there usual menu. We not only eat there on the Monday evening but... More

Went here for our lunch on the 5th of September. The meals where really nice and it wasn't too expensive for the three of us. My mum had ham and eggs, which she said was good. My dad had steak and ale pie and I had the fish and chips.

My sons chicken dinner was clearly stuck in the microwave...but not for long enough, chicken was luke warm and the Yorkshire pudding was stone cold, the whole meal was replaced for a new one but shouldn't of happened, other food was ok but wouldn't go back

Whilst taking part in a weekend event nearby, we decided to see what the local town had to offer. After having a look around, we came across this lovely little pub - The Black Horse. The staff didn't hesitate to make us both feel very welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The menu offered a wide range... More

It wasn't bad... Had a roast dinner and was offered a top up of veg. My roast was a chicken roast and was a relatively small breast which wasn't all that special and the cauliflower cheese - I don't think had any cheese. My other half's roast beef though was yummy! And the roast potatoes were proper home cooked and... More

Very disappointed with our stay. The bathroom smelt of dirty drains, the customer service was terrible and we would not stay here again. We stayed directly above the pub and the duke box went off full blast at 7am and continued until gone 8am after we spent the hour trying to find someone to turn it off. The land lady... More

Had a drink here with friends after a meal in nearby restaurant. Very friendly staff and great choice of ales. Quite a busy and vibrant place, but quitened down after 10pm. Even though sports tvs were present, they did not overwhelm the place. Did not realise they had accommodation, would definitely look into that on our next visit.
