My partner, a friend and I shared a 'triple' room at The Black Horse for one night. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by exceptionally friendly staff and the cheery manager, Mandy who showed us to a lovely, spacious and spotlessly clean room with a huge shower room and WC. They had even kept the curtains closed to... More

Two bar staff, who didn't seem to be bothered or even realise that two out of three beers were in terrible nic.....including the Brakspears Special, normally such a great beer. Hobgoblin was the only one left for me to have.....not my favourite beer. This beer was flat and lifeless. Marston's sort it out !!

The staff and the food were great. We did have to park in the town as there was no parking outside the pub but it was worth the walk. The tpub was really busy but the young girl was really on the ball and customers were never left waiting, a very good atmosphere. The food was very enjoyable although there... More

We went here for a weekday quick bit of birthday pub grub. The pub had a nice atmosphere and couldn't fault the friendly staff, we were made to feel very welcome. We had the 2 for £10 meals, whiwhich a member of staff pointed out. The food was lovely, really good quality and presentation.my son had mentioned during passing conversation... More

My husband and I visited The Black Horse for lunch and a drink recently and would never revisit here again! We were greeted by a miserable barmaid who was unwelcoming and obviously didn't want to be at work. We waited almost half an hour for our food and had to ask the grumpy barmaid twice where our meals were to... More

By chance found myself in Cirencester and visited the Black Horse on a Monday night, steak night two for one! Ended up with a pound of Sirloin which was cooked to perfection, excellent value and good real ale on the pumps.

Awful food, awful service, awful experience - the single rudest team of staff we've ever encountered. Unbelievably bad. Walked in to the pub with 7 friends visiting Cirencester for the day. We sat at a table round to the left of the bar by the entrance to the kitchen. Waitress asked how many of us there were for some reason... More
