We booked a 1 night stay here using the telephone booking number. We were given an excellent rate including breakfast & vat - just £145. This was a considerable saving over the internet price. We struggled a bit to find the hotel, but we arrived eventually. The hotel is in a really nice area of Cheltenham, just a 5/10 minute... more

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Hotel is located about 10 minutes stroll to town centre. Parking is limited at front of but there is plentiful parking on he surrounding streets. We had an upgraded room and it was fantasic ... the bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic. A georgeous claw-foot bath and separate shower... more

I booked for the fab "Stay for £10 on a Sunday night" offer (small print being that between 2 people £75 has to be spent on dinner, which was fine). I had never got round to staying in a Hotel du Vin before but was excited about staying somewhere reputed for its fine wines, boutique decor and comfort. I arrived... more

We have stayed in a number of HDVs over the years and the experience has been mixed but mostly good. It is fair to state that the HDV experience is special with small touches making all the difference but our most recent stay this weekend was expensive. I booked late and was attracted by the description of a "Junior Suite"... more

We spent a lovely weekend at the Hotel du Vin in Cheltenham for Valentine's Day. The hotel, if quirkily laid out, is comfortable and well equipped, though Americans may find the rooms on the small side. Food and service in the restaurant is superb, as are the wines, as one might expect. Bar service a bit less attentive. The hotel... more

We booked for the weekend as a treat for our anniversary. We were immediately unexpectedly upgraded, which was fantastic and this set the tone for our weekend. The hotel has a classy feel about it - spa, excellent wine list, excellent bistro, and an outside cigar shack which may not be for everyone but was perfect for me to sit... more

This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in! I booked a night at the Hotel du Vin in Cheltenham for a surprise for my husband's birthday, and we both were amazed at how luxurious the rooms were. The rooms don't have numbers, they have names, and we were delighted to get the "Tomassi Amarone" room, since Amarone... more

This is a delightful, modern and immaculate hotel with charming and helpful staff. We booked a standard double room and it was faultless with a superbly comfortable huge bed and wonderful underfloor heating in the bathroom. The food, although possibly slightly limited by a small menu, was delicious and beautifully presented. It was a buzzy environment. What was overwhelmingly good... more

Nicely located, shiny and new, and decadently funky it should be recepie for success, but somehow it wasn't quite there. It's a little too new and a little too polished to have any kind of endearing quirks. A previous review said it seems to be aimed at a 'yuppie' market and this seems about right, so some may find it... more

The bar is big, comfortable, opulent and buzzing. The rooms are well equipped and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in (I'm thinking of contacting them to find out where they get their mattresses from). We were there for my father's 70th birthday celebration and the hotel staff shared the surprise by admirably keeping the secret.... more
